Stickied as this will be an on-going saga, might as well have itstuck to the first page and easy to access. Unreal this past 24 hours, went from a lot of optimism to well **** really quick!
 
Real Madrid have struck a £40m deal with Liverpool for Luis Suarez, he will sign a four-year deal and earn a pay-rise. [Marca]

Keepers:
Begovic, quality keeper! (Jones is decent enough as backup).

Defence:
Johnson, Enrique, Wisdon, Kelly, Agger, Toure
Until sold we still have Skrtel
Until loaned or sold we still have Coates
We maybe buying Papa-something-dopalous!
Add decent LB cover.

Midfield:
Gerrard, Lucas, Henderson, Allen, Coutinho
Downing maybe sold
Shelvey maybe sold/loaned - no real loss there
Suso and Sterling could be loaned
Ass-man sold
We need a few of decent additions here, on AMF, Winger one DMF.

Attack:
Sturrdige, Coutinho, Borini, Aspas, need at least one more player here.

Not all doom and gloom, could give us a starting line-up of:

So put those razors away, roll down those sleeves and drain the bath!

that's obvious. he is a worker when not conspiring to leave somewhere.

alberto aquilani.... class player, couldn;t work worth a dman.

but the biggest one of all RHC.... Messi... we all know he'd do nothing v stoke on a wet wednesday. Its obvious when you think about it ;) neymar to barca open the path. Reina for cash + messi.
 
Well looking likely will only get £40mil if he does leave who can we buy relaistically for that money to replace him?
 
One other thing. The only area on the pitch that Rodgers is happy with is attack. Noy happy with Lucas (too scared to do something wrong), Gerrard, but he plays according to his own rules anyway. No mention of Henderson or Allen. The only defender he was happy with was Carra, but he's gone now. Pretty glum synopsis from the ****ing manager. Spend and spend WELL!
 
The £40m buyout clause will have been NEGOTIATED by Suarez's legal team - it doesn't mean LFC were 100% happy with the outcome ffs?! Sounds to me like he wanted to make his passage to a CL club as smooth as poss - which to be fair to him he has stated his ambition from day one.

That's business.
