Not yet, and I'm not going to phone him today. With the Suarez rumours, he'll be under siege not only from his sport editor, but from the main editor as well.

Really don't know. I mentioned Eriksen to him a month or so ago and he hadn't heard anything about him then, but it's obvious to him that I know the name.

Anyone else heard that the club have been looking at Navas? Sevilla are in alot of financial difficulty and need to offload some players. Navas has apparantly had some therapy for his homesickness, but not yet understood if he'd be willing to leave Spain yet. Other than Real or Barca, no one else there would be willing to buy him.

Bit of a gamble, but a good player.

seen this posted on koptalk, dif point of view.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have both launched attempts to secure the services of Luis Suarez. The Liverpool hitman is attracting interest from a host of clubs but Bayern and Real have made the first moves behind the scenes. Both clubs have allegedly held talks with Suarez's representatives and Liverpool fear the player is about to turn his back on the club that stood by his side following Evra-gate and Ivanovic-gate.According to well placed sources at Anfield, Reds' boss Brendan Rodgers has briefed a couple of journalists about the situation and they have been informed that the club feels Suarez is trying to instigate an exit.Various quotes are again circulating as a result of Suarez returning to his homeland. They include:"I have a contract with Liverpool but it would be hard to say no to Real Madrid. I have spoken to Brendan Rodgers and he knows what I want. He understands my situation. It is a pride for the people of Uruguay that one has the opportunity to go to Madrid."and"One always dreams of wanting to reach the world's greatest teams. I talked to my representative and there's nothing concrete. Tell him not to talk to Madrid? It will always be difficult to say no to a team like that."I love being in Liverpool and I'm happy but the treatment I received (from the press), it's tiring. They have talked about things that had nothing to do with the mistake I made. I've been hit all over the place."It hurts me a lot, I have a family that suffers. They have gone over the top and I'm tired. I have a daughter, my wife, and I don't think I'm prepared to put up with English journalists."I suffered a lot as a child, I fought hard to get where I am just so that some journalists in England can treat me poorly. They have never valued what I do on the pitch."Obviously the club want me to stay. I have spoken with the coach. Brendan Rodgers knows what I want. There are colleagues who understand my situation."They know it is a difficult situation."European Champions Bayern Munich have made it known that will table a formal bid before Monday if the Suarez camp indicates that he is up for a transfer to Germany but the 26-year-old appears to have his sights set on a move to Madrid.A member of the Suarez camp claims that the player is yet to make a decision about his future. Real Madrid haven't tabled an offer as yet but president Florentino Perez last night commented on the situation. He said: "Suarez is a great player and I am sure all in the world would want him."I like him and others too but it does not always fit."Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group are powerless to stop the player leaving. They have indicated to Brendan Rodgers that should the player opt to leave, that 100% of the transfer funds received can be spent on a replacement. There are suggestions that Spanish football pundit Guillem Balague has been 'encouraged' by his friends at Real Madrid to report their interest in the Liverpool ace.Yesterday, he wrote: "At this stage of his career, he would like to test himself in the biggest stage, the Champions League. He hoped Liverpool could provide that but it hasn't been the case."He expects the progression of the team will take them to the top four at some point but he has heard there are clubs like Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Juventus (he is preferred to Higuain), even Chelsea that have shown interest."No offer on the table yet but there will be more than one put during the summer."Will Luis Suarez leave Anfield? KOPTALK sources seem to think so, if Real Madrid 'step up'."If they (Real Madrid) meet the full release clause value, then he will not turn them down," said a source last night."Bayern's offer may be of interest but you don't turn down Real Madrid. In fact, Atletico Madrid shouldn't be ignored either."He is keen on the idea of moving to Spain but [name removed - someone from the Suarez camp] claims he hasn't yet made up his mind. What that really means is Real Madrid haven't yet indicated if they will step up."We wouldn't trust Suarez as far as we could throw him and we've maintained that stance for months. All this nonsense that the media are out to get him will be the weak reason as to why he had to leave, should he choose to, when in fact nobody would blame him for joining such an illustrious club as Real Madrid. If he opts to leave, it'll be because he wants to win things and not slug it out at a fallen giant like Liverpool Football Club. It would have nothing to do with the British press - the Spanish press are more vicious so it's not like he'd be moving to a safe haven. Any negative reporting has been brought on by his own actions. At a time when Brendan Rodgers is desperately trying to turn Liverpool's fortunes round, we would prefer to concentrate on players who we know are focused on the challenge ahead, new signings like Phillippe Coutinho for example, than players who have one eye on other opportunities.Suarez is a valuable asset, so valuable that he has become bigger than the club which shows how desperate we are today. Hopefully he will stay but only a fool will claim all the latest smoke is merely the media twisting and instigating because 'they're out to get him'.

sorry about the copy and paste.

Never heard of him.. anyone in the know...err.. know about him?
If he's in the mould of Xavi and Iniesta, why get rid?

I heard once that there is some law regarding young players and big contracts in Spain that see some young Spanish players leave. Like Fabrigas and probably Suso. I dont know the details of this though.

thats fair enough...the suarez stuff just requires making stuff up quick so i can certainly see why you'd not.

i'd just read into your comments here as it'd not be alonso cos that would be a big name.

Re Alberto: i think he is already updated on wiki to being an lfc player and is 20 it seems .

though i think perhaps RHC did the update

"on the 30th of May, Guillem Balague announced the potential signing of Luis Alberto to Liverpool FC stating 'More on Luis Alberto. He can play in two of 3 postions in 4-3-3 midfield, as false 9 or winger. Quality in set pieces. Quite frankly my nipples are erect at this fantastic prospect.'
Negotiations are currently ongoing, but Liverpool are said to be very interested and praise the player's ability to score sweaty goals."

I think its a bit of of wiki magic right there.

the law in spain is the club cannot pay anyone under 17. so arsenal and us were giving "scholarships" to pay them big wages to come. once a player turns 17 they get a contract.
