I cant bear these rumours! I don't know if I can Handel looking at this thread over the next few months
Although from our wonderful rumours site, I wouldn;t say no to this; "29 May 2013 12:37:02 the story out of the Italian press this morning is a meeting took place in London between Udinese, Granada and Watford to discuss player movements for next year, and it was agreed Watford will permanently sign Abdi, Anya, Battochio, Ekstrand, Neuton, Pudil and Vydra. In addition Granada will provide Ighalo and Udinese will provide Ranegie plus a central defender (possibly Daniele Mori) for next season. Alex Geijo will return to Spain. The story also reports Vydra may be sold if a strong offer is received this summer from Arsenal or Tottenham, otherwise he will stay with Watford. That's one sweet looking team next season!" "29 May 2013 10:12:01 Being reported on udineseblog. it that Abdi, Pudil, Neuton, Ekstrand and Battochio will remain at Watford, Geijo will return to Spain coming in is Ighalo and Renagie and also a defender probably Mori also Vydra will stay unless a big offer is made from Arsenal or Spurs"
Also, although not mentioned above, the below article seems to suggest Cassetti will stay another year; http://www.udineseblog.it/index.php...atford-al-lavoro-per-trattenere-cassetti.html And another article from today that states Vydra is to remain at Watford; http://www.udineseblog.it/index.php...ane-al-watford-nessuna-offerta-per-basta.html
Can't say for sure, but the 2nd one with regards to Vydra has actual quotes from Gianpaolo Pozzo saying he will stay. As the previous rumour says, I think he will sign unless a big offer comes in. After coming so close this season, I think a lot of players will want to give it another go to get us up. Be great if we can keep a pretty consistent squad with a few quality additions.
yes agreed.. if we can keep the core players with just a few more in.... we should be strong for next season...
As Jsybarry states I can't see the Birmingham fan bit having any bearing on his decision. The Sunderland/Newcastle rival I would have thought was even more intense and DG went there. Also, David James was a L*t*n fan! I may be wrong about this, but didn't Troy start his career at Villa and was let go/didn't get offered professional terms? Or have I just made that up in my mind!
At the start of this season how many of us had heard of or knew anything about Vydra, Abdi, Pudil, Ekstrand, Anya, Cassetti, Forrestieri, Battochio, Chalobah or thought we would get Almunia or Hall? How many of us thought Hoban would have such an impact on the first team, or Connor Smith would be around it as much as he was? I have no doubts that if we get a reasonable nucleus of the Udinese/Granada players we had last year permanently, that we will also add some good other signings and loans that would not mean anything to us at this moment, and maybe some other academy players will start making an impact as well - may Britt will start pushing, maybe Thompson, or Tumwa?
Not sure if iv missed it, but Maicousel is also linked to us today after this meeting in London, i dont know how to do links, but if you google him, there is a 7 ish minute video of him, he looks amazing. If anybody knows how to provide the link its worth viewing. He woould rip this division apart i would suggest. Yeovils head would be spinning,
This one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSmS8_ziM5Y Definitely eye-catching, although the video tends to suggest he has a worse diving tendency than FF. I do like his penalty kick style though. If we were to sign a talent such as that, I hate to think of the outcry from other clubs - Hollowhead would well and truly blow a fuse.
Maicousel was responsable for Udinese's failure to reach the Champions League group stages with this beauty... If he does come to us I really hope he leaves his cockiness behind!
I have been looking and from things I remember Maicousel could be the link between John Barnes Nigel Callaghan and Maurice Johnson. If he comes to Watford he has big shoes to fill.
Going to start a rumour myself here but if Troy's newest twitter profile pic is anything to go by, he will definatly be a hornet next year.
If I was playing with this guy I would have got bored and stopped playing waiting for a pass.................. Don't think he wants to play with the other 10 teamates.
He also has a bit of the Nordin Wooter about him.... a lot of the time he appears to get nowhere.... I get exhausted just watching him! however, seriously, he does look rather good... but would need to see him play in the championship and be successful to decide...
