Right lets take it slow shall we. On our current squads today, we finished 9th in the premiership. We won a cup.
On your current squad you won a weaker league with no one scoring over 8 goals. You won't be up against championship defences or strikers next season you know. More teams will score against you, meaning you are going to need to score more goals. Who exactly do you have that can do that?

They can say what they like, we still got 21 points and beat Chelsea over two legs. So that argument is dead.
And finally, you come on to a football forum to read infighting on a different board?
Yeah I'll just leave you with that.

there is no doubt about it that it will be a long hard season for the majority of teams. the premiership is split into 3. you have the big clubs fighting for the title and a champions league spot, then you have the established sides who will challenge the top teams but not quite as good as them, and then you have the rest who will be in the relegation battle from day one and anyone of us can end up in the bottom 3 as we all take points of each other until someone goes on a bad run and falls 4 or 5 points behind the rest and has to play catch up....

Swan-m, so you think being in a European competition on top of all the other games will have no affect on your performances, I admire your optimism.

No I go on your board to discuss football and all I see is infighting.

    Swansea - 12th
    Cardiff - 17th

I think this will change after the summer signings are analysed.

Some of the taffs on here make me laugh, they really do, but if any of you want to put your money where your mouth is, then I'll take it all day long! Swansea City will be in the top ten next season again, have a nice day girls!...................<cheers>

That's interesting Phil. I see you're pretty confident that you'll finish in the top ten next year - that's fair enough.

On that basis, you must be absolutely certain that you'll finish above us mere newbies to the "Big Boy" league then eh? It follows that should mean some very long odds against us finishing above you next season.

I'm not a betting man, but how about you offering me some odds on that to consider?....Try me Phil. <ok>

The transfer window hasn't opened yet, so how exactly do you expect anyone to answer that?

    Fair point methinks. <ok>

You might get lucky as we did with Michu - otherwise you will have to spend pretty big, as will we....and that's just for us to stand still. Can't say which team will finish higher really can we? However, this is our third season and historically the first two are the hardest. Just saying...

You'd love that wouldn't you Hilts? Don't believe all you read.

As long as we don't get Hoofball Malky as a replacement we'll be fine. <ok>

    No I wouldn't love it.

I couldn't give a sh!t if he stays with you or leaves you.

However I do believe from what ive heard from some Swansea fans is all is not well and its not the fault of your chairman.

However it could all be a load of bollox.

"I couldn't give a sh!t if he stays with you or leaves you."

Well, searching for stories on the Internet relating to the Swans then posting up a thread titled "Swans Halo Slips" suggests otherwise. Sorry if I've misjudged you. <laugh>

Guarantee that if we lose our Manager you'll be the first to say something sarcastic about our season falling apart before it's begun. One thing about Hughs. He's a tool but he's an honest tool. <ok>

    Why?

Ive already predicted youll be relegated with or without Laudrup.

Leave out the tool comments. You've been threatening to leave so why not just go.

He's had more come backs than Frank Sinatra and more change of name than Liz Taylor.

Some of his rantings are funny.

However some of his posts are a disgrace especially for an old fella.

In all fairness his board is ****, so you can't blame them for coming over to ours and letting off a bit of steam.
They have to be careful what they say over on theirs, toe the line or else, it's cringe-worthy but not much they can do without fear of getting banned. Dictatorship reigns and the weak have to keep quiet or else.

I'm glad they have a decent board to come and have some fun on, so let them come ine swinging, they never hit anything.

<doh>. Wasn't calling you a tool Hilts. You can read can't you?

My comment was reserved for your pet moron Hughs who in one thread here that had to be hurredly closed used 'scum', 'vermin' and 'rodent' whilst we get whingeing pleas from your mods on our board to 'behave'. The word 'tool' is kinda tame by comparison.

Let's see where the season takes us. Far too early for serious predictions but mine is that we'll probably get mid-table though maybe not 9th again whilst you will struggle unless you make some big signings. That's based on the fact it's your first season whilst this is our third, nothing more, whereas your assessment is based on unadulerated bias. It certainly can't be logic. Maybe that's why I thought you were a woman. <laugh>

Ok dont leave when the season kicks off though.

I can take any stick if it all goes pear shaped.

Wasnt a wind up what ive heard regarding Laudrup though. Been told a few things today but of course it could be rubbish.

    Lets see.

    Im definately not a woman.<laugh>
