A B&W Place.
Thought this might have been posted already but can't see it anywhere so here goes.

The Eagles have landed.

Monday teatime saw the composition of next season's Premier League confirmed, with Selhurst Park now on Toon fans' itinerary next season, after Crystal Palace beat Watford 1-0 in the playoff final at Wembley.

They join Cardiff City and Hull City in the top flight for the 2013/14 campaign and Ian Holloway's side return after an eight season absence after sewpa Kevin Phillips fired in from the spot in extra-time.

Ex-Magpie Peter Ramage was an unused substitute for the victors at Wembley but has made 40 appearances in the league this season, scoring four times. His current contract with the Eagles expires this summer.

Away games against Palace in the Premier League have provided rich pickings for the Magpies, with victory in all three of our visits to date.

Our most recent senior team fixture at Selhurst also ended in success, when efforts from Kevin Nolan and Ryan Taylor helped record a 2-0 Championship win in August 2009.

This is terrible news.

Relegated
QPR
Reading
Wigan

Promoted
Cardiff
Crystal Palace
Hull

Three teams out who are behind us in the alphabet, replaced by three teams higher up.
So we'll start the season three places lower than last year. We're doomed. DOOMED I TELL YOU!

Just alphabetically, there's 18 points there for us.

In all seriousness, if we don't win at least 4 of those 6 games, it's a poor show.

All 6 should be a realistic ambition if we are to do anything more than struggle for relegation.

On a personal level i'm glad it was Palace because my brother is a Palace fan and we had a cracking day out last time we went there in the championship season. Seem to recall the game had kicked off and Nolan scored very early on and there was still a good couple of hundred Toon waiting to get in (one being me!)

So, things haven't changed there, remember when I went down in the 04/05 season we were queuing after the game had kicked off. Luckily we didn't score until the last 10 minutes.
