Now don't you dare score against England!!! @hullcityteam: Stephen Quinn has been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the upcoming games vs. England, Georgia, Faroe Islands, and Spain. #hcafc
Did you edit that tweet into the OP or did I somehow miss it in the first place? Just seemed really strange to congratulate him but not actually explain what for.
About time too, if Quinn, Brady, Meyler or McShane scored against us I'd be happy for us to lose. Don't really give much of a **** about the national team nowadays anyway!
I presume somebody has pulled out through injury then? Well done to Quinny obviously, the man is criminally underrated by the national side.
Congratulations to Quinny, inexcusably left out for so long. Anyway I want England to stick ten by them, it'll make our 4 lads realise what they're stepping back into when they play in the premier league.
Why? How can a player being called up for international duty be terrible news for any club? Yes there is a possibility of injury, but he may get injured in training.
That's not the point, it's the extra games it will put on his season and the effects it may have on his performance. Having said all that with resources we now have the effect should be considerably less than it would have been in the Championship as we should have a much better squad.
If he succeeds in the Premiership, second time around, the demands on his body will far outweigh the 8 game difference between Championship and Premiership.
Hull City Official @hullcityteam 55m Quinn: "I'm absolutely delighted to get the call. This tops off an unbelievable season, and I can't wait to meet up with the lads." #hcafc
Much more than that, I'd rather he had a proper holiday before pre season. Our entire team were running on empty for the last month of the season and were clearly fooked so need a break. I'd be much happier if none of them had been called up.
He should be on holiday. Who organises these fixture lists? Everything just seems to be scheduled at a stupid time now. I still want England to win, I'll be watching our boys with interest but I'm an England fan and I don't get all this hating England ****. You wouldn't stop supporting City if they weren't successful.
Agreed. Look at it this way - If it was the World Cup final, would you still want 'our boys' to win rather than England? No, you wouldn't. So why hate them?
