Not strictly true. At the beginning of their drought they did better against the bigger teams but fell shirt against the likes of Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, Hull and sides of that ilk.

Perhaps the thought of working under Mourhino put him off. Apparently, many of the Real players are glad to see the back of him.

It's changed quite a bit - 40 years ago the lots weren't empty, with the council thinking the best idea to generate interest is putting bloody great big stickers on the windows to advertise what it could be.

Also the Whitgift Centre stopped looking like something out of a Dmitry Glukhovsky novel...

Barca have had an agreement for nearly 2 years. If Neymar did not go to them a clause in the pre-contractual agreement meant that whichever club he went to would have to pay a fine on top of the fee. We've never seriously been in for Neymar. Neymar has been linked to just about every top club in England and Spain.

It's being claimed as 47.5M in Spain.
 
So Monaco continue buying every player in the game and will announce both Falcao and Victor Valdes tomorrow.

The Falcao deal alone is supposed to be £51m - add that to the £60m on Moutinho and Rodriguez and whatever is spent on Valdes and you're looking at £120m spent in about a week! :O

This has always been the way for spending in Monaco!

£51 billion worth of yachts in the harbour.

Crap place for a Formula 1 GP though. No chance to overtake and any crash means a red flag.

And the new place to be for mercenary footballers.

To be honest, given Monaco's status among the super rich I'm actually surprised it didn't happen sooner.
