Well A Madrid will have 50m from the Falcao deal. I can see just under half that being enough.
Atletico only own 40% of Falcao. The rest is owned by an investement group who got given the rights by FC Porto in exchange for funds to sign him from River. The move to Monaco is essentially to buy him out, and then he will be sold onto another club in six months.

I can't see anything saying he is considering his future in the quote supplied in that article, I can see how he would be pretty pissed at losing a place he previously had nailed down in his national team though. This whole Forren situation is a real headscratcher for me.
He wasn't fit enough, then even if he was, the players in the team didn't deserve to be dropped. We've all seen what happens when you chop and change at the back, after all.
As others have pointed out, he hasn't said he wants to leave. If he is good enough (and people who know seem to think he is) he'll get his chance next season.
