Leeds kit released and it's a horror. What's with the vertical double stripe, it looks ridiculous. please log in to view this image
Don't mind the Leeds one. What else can you do with white!? Also, their traditional colours were blue and yellow. I think it was Don Revie who changed it to white because he was an admirer of Real Madrid.
The stripes aren't a problem in and of themselves. It's the fact that having a sponsor's logo means reducing the stripes to little top-and-bottom nubs which makes it look like a jumble.
I bet we stick with virtually all red next season...has Nicola's fingerprints all over it. Can just imagine him at the planning stage...Love the traditional kit, but can it be just a little less stripey.
This is a great thread. I'm sure I would have missed most of these new kit updates from the other clubs, so well done for merging them in here.
Re: those Boro kits. Why is it that some clubs always manage to have terrible kits designed for them..?
Since way, way back in my youthful support of Saints, I have often wondered if stripes are a slightly more difficult kit to play in [probably because I was trying to explain to myself, for the umpteenth time, why we have been so bloody useless, no doubt], in terms of identifying teammates, than a dominant colour. Obviously, in our case, I am talking about red and white, but the same goes for other stripes and even hoops, etc... I never played my competitive football in front of large crowds, so it wasn't a real problem. But there must be some data out there beyond those famous grey shirts.
That's the new Adidas template. Stoke have it for their away too. We're likely to get it too, if we sign with Adidas.
