Leeds kit released and it's a horror. What's with the vertical double stripe, it looks ridiculous.

Don't mind the Leeds one. What else can you do with white!? Also, their traditional colours were blue and yellow. I think it was Don Revie who changed it to white because he was an admirer of Real Madrid.

The stripes aren't a problem in and of themselves. It's the fact that having a sponsor's logo means reducing the stripes to little top-and-bottom nubs which makes it look like a jumble.

I bet we stick with virtually all red next season...has Nicola's fingerprints all over it. Can just imagine him at the planning stage...Love the traditional kit, but can it be just a little less stripey.

I think it might be more profitable to have another big change.

Since way, way back in my youthful support of Saints, I have often wondered if stripes are a slightly more difficult kit to play in [probably because I was trying to explain to myself, for the umpteenth time, why we have been so bloody useless, no doubt], in terms of identifying teammates, than a dominant colour. Obviously, in our case, I am talking about red and white, but the same goes for other stripes and even hoops, etc...

I never played my competitive football in front of large crowds, so it wasn't a real problem. But there must be some data out there beyond those famous grey shirts.
