Stuck a vernier on my front brake discs today and they are illegal. OK, you say, get some new ones. They are only £150 including VAT a pop and I need two. There goes the new season ticket unless I get an upturn. I could get good quality pattern ones at a mere £125 each, but then I'd worry all the time.
