Beefy's Corner - The Off-Topic Chat Thread

The official Off-Topic Chat Thread now known as "Beefy's Corner".

Firstly, the normal rules of the site apply. You cannot start a discussion about contentious issues, Politics, Religion, or show Porn, etc... The flip side of this arrangement is that there will be a much stricter enforcement of the "no going off topic" rule which has always been the case anyway, on the other threads.

Secondly, the normal rules of the Saints board will apply, (except that you can go off-topic obviously). This is not going to become a "private GC Lite." Personal insults will not be tolerated, and neither will goading someone to draw them out. The whole tone of this board has suffered in the past as differing views have been aired and there have been far too many angry exchanges. Vitriolic exchanges are not welcome and will be dealt with as appropriate. If you have fallen out with a poster put him on your ignore list and don't rise to the bait!
If you see content which is not appropriate, please send the mods a PM rather than fronting up the poster and let us deal with it to save a bun-fight. Lastly, if a thread is closed or deleted by one of the Mods, and you have some good reason that it should reopen, then send us a PM with your reasons. Simply re-posting the same thread again to be confrontational would be considered very provocative and would probably lead to action being taken.

It would seem that large numbers of posts and subjects causes problems for mobile phone users to access this site.
So from time to time it will be necessary to close the threads down and start a new one.

Breaking news in Environmental and Energy Science: The new Cold Fusion technology E-CAT has been third party test proven to work, and it works very well indeed. This takes it from the category of a bunch of promising fringe potential energy technologies into the mainstream. So all those billions of currency that has been wasted on obtaining milliseconds of hot fusion output under test conditions can now end. It ain't going to happen and Cold Fusion is finally here. Now divert a fraction of the billions to more E-CAT research to get it into the commercial market, so we stop using the Earth's fundamental resources at an ever expanding rate. Unfortunately, the mainstream media haven't cottoned on to all this yet, so this breaking news is literally breaking now-ish. Here's a couple of explanation links:
