Sadly for Murray he is out for 6 months with a ligament injury. Good fortune for us I guess but I'd prefer to win with their best team against us.
I agree with that Chris - there is nothing more satisfying than beating an opponent who is at their strongest and best - of course winning is important but if we have to fear Championship sides at their best why would we think the Prem would work?
on the other hand,one off games are just that-- strange things can happen---- surely you can only beat what is put in front of you-- hollowhead should have had more loans ! on a side note, i think i will have a small covering bet on Palarse--did the same in 99 , with Bolton--and we all know what happened there-- so a bet i hope to lose !!
Sorry to deviate on this tenure of sportsmanship and all that but I don't care how we win. If Zaha wakes up on the morning of the 27th with a heavy cold, or, their bus breaks down 4 times on the way to Wembley then all to the good - obviously it would be nice to go through only on our own merits but the main thing is not to have to tolerate that grinning baboon (Babboon ?) 2 b's or not 2 b's that is the question ? celebrating at our expense .
I agree. I wouldn't feel great about winning if something really bad happened to any of their players during the game and had a bearing on the result but the odd niggle here or there that puts them out before hand and doesn't have any impact on their future well being wouldn't overly worry me. It's not just about the opposition either - I once spent every Saturday morning from August through to May hoping that Mark Morris would find himself locked in and could not leave the house.

Me too - on holiday (and signed the banner) - bad planning or what - still hope to find a suitable tele in Centre Parcs or the Dutch are gonna pay!! I just know we will win this - I really have a good feeling about the game I actually thought we might struggle against Brighton but don't have the same feeling about the Crystal Pals Arse.
