i would have thought after seeing the game on monday , hollowhead will be brickin it-- a good thrashing will see the end of him !
He probably would look to stay with Palarse if they get promoted on a season long loan so he can still throw his rattle out of his cot
It's actually just as well that we played Leicester rathher than palace on Sunday. If we'd done that to Mr Holloway's team he would have asked for the game to be awarded to Palace due to the pitch invasion.
Though we do not like Holloway he is still a canny manager--he would not have managed teams to promotions/play-offs if he were not. His experience at this kind of game is to his advantage, while Zola is pretty much a novice (though a nicer chap and better manager ). Holloway seems to have got his tactics right against Brighton--letting them pass the ball in innocuous areas of the pitch, aggressive closing down in dangerous areas, relying on the counter-attack (or on Zaha getting a free -kick) for his attacking options. Will he do the same against us? He has had two games to work out our strengths and weaknesses, and he has players who can carry out a game plan. Expect the mind games to start pretty soon too, designed either to unsettle, or to get his excuses in early. We do have the better team, with more all round depth of talent. Chalobah and Abdi are better than their central midfeld, Anya at least as much of a threat as Zaha, while Deeney, Vydra and Forestieri are bound to score goals. Cassetti is the godfather of cool--though he can give away a free kick in an awkward area. When everyone is at the top of their game , we are the best team in this division, so--no "foot off the gas" ---or dodgy refs---please!
Good points Roger. For all we might dislike him this is his third final in 4 years and, as he was in the premier league in the other year, it's 3 out of 3 for him. That's extraordinary really.
I owuld have preferred to face Brighton - I think we could deal with their style of football but Palace came back from 2-0 down to us and as you say have an experienced manager against a novice. Bigger pitch should suit us
thank you, my lovely little canary! Fingers are firmly crossed...i never was sure which team i wanted to play in the final, but either would have been difficult for different reasons. This is going to be a tough match, but hopefully talent will win though!
CRINGEWORTHY ! We Are WATFORD says the NORWICH supporter ! & Mrs Mod obviously enjoys all the attention..do others a favour who may be too 'polite' to comment...go / stick to 'privates' you two .Theres a lack of contributors as it is !
Tell me Nick, how on Earth did a kind, polite poster like you get such a bad reputation? So unjustified!
Better than creepy Davey ! Lack of 'birds' on Norwich pages perhaps ? Wearing..possibly a reference to Davo and my conversation ??(your not ALWAYS too forthcoming). If so, you've curbed the 'scum' etc poetry a little lately, with lapses, ...god I must be influential... but still pot, kettle gotta be appropriate.
Oh Nick, was my question too difficult? I didn't say I couldn't understand the meaning of your post, I asked if you always spoke in riddles! Some writers can use euphemism and hyperbole in a very witty and entertaining way, yours, I'm afraid to say was witless! How does being a Norwich fan preclude me from loving Watford FC? I think you just like to be the centre of attention, so you have to be rude to provoke a reaction! That is all!
