That would leave Usmanov with only share to get to make 30% Takeover bid soon?

PHW needn't necessarily sell his shares just because he would no longer be chairman though.

Not keen on either Kroenke or Usmanov. One's a cheapskate with a tacky pornstar moustache, the other is a fat Uzbek with a shady background.

Can't we just run ourselves? Why do we need an owner?

Yes its true as you say. <ok> He might elect to sell though, you never know. It depends to a large degree on what capacity he sees himself at Arsenal, if any in the coming months/years.

If he thinks that Usmaov will get a sniff of those shares you can bet he won't be letting go of one of them. Unless it's another one of his 'lock down' deals of course.

Arsenal are close to signing 20-year-old Auxerre striker Yaya Sanogo. "It is in advanced stages but it is not done," manager Arsene Wenger told Arsenal.com.

Tall striker who scored 8 goals in 11 appearances this season. Granted that was in the french second league, but its still a good return for a young striker, especially when you take into account the fact that Auxerre aren't the best in the league and thus he won't get as many chances as at a better team (currently 9th with 2 games to go).

Could be a good signing for the future, who knows.

If this is Wenger's idea of strengthening our attacking options then I despair.

It's a free transfer so not like we are losing anything on a transfer fee. Reminds me a bit of Chamakh :/

Won't be a free as he's under 23 (?) and a home grown player. If the clubs don't agree a fee it will go to tribunal.

How many had heard of him before today? Football Manager and FIFA don't count!

Would Chelsea, United or City even consider him an option?

No they wouldnt but that's because they dont sign ANYONE until they reach a certain level of 'hype'

Seriously it bugs me that fans complain about us signing young players. Our scouting network is one of the clubs strongest assets and will continue to sign unheard of 'talents' (even if it is harder to do these days.)

All I have to say is... Vieira, Anelka, Toure, Fabregas..

We may be in a 'better financial situation than before but signing young players is the only realistic way to compete for talent when there are clubs like City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG around.

We should get him and loan to West Brom for a season to replace Lukaku.

Not many people had heard of Ronaldo either, before he signed for Manchester United. So maybe Chelsea and City wouldn't, but United yes.
