nope...haven't been on the forums for a coupla years...after original 606 nothing was ever the same ......just thought id come on for a nosey at you all..well whats left of you all!

McDermott doesn't tend to sign well known stars. He signs up and comers and relative unknowns from lower leagues so this would be why he would be looking at thompson rather than someone else. Also we already have a right back in Peltier, I'd prefer us to be looking at CB

Bit ironic considering Leeds' success in the 70's was a result of bribery and cheating for the most part. Hence why Revie was banned for 10 yeas from the English game.

Don't remember him being found guilty. That was just the likes of B. stoko and a few other jealous nobs trying to tarnish the great mans name. Unlike the ref who it was proved that he'd been bribed. <grr>

I know I shouldn't bite TC, but that trophy is technically ours due to the fact that the ref was bribed by those cheating Itallians, not sour grapes but something that was proved. Of course if that had happened to any other British team, they'd have been awarded it...:headbang:

Wrong shako as it belongs to Lazio who won it in its last year so kept it outright! <nahnah>

The bribary accusation would be more damning if it wasn't for the fact that plenty of clubs have bought their way to success in more recent years (Man City, Chelski, Blackburn etc).

Afternoon all - If Bates was still in charge of the club and come January we sold our leading scorer and brought in Morrison then close season rumours were rife that we were going to cash in on Byram all hell would break loose. I am bewildered as to how GFH are getting away with this...

I think most of use are resigned to the fact we're going to lose Byram, hence no outcry

Harry Kewell's stay in Qatar didn't last long. Six weeks to be exact after the former Liverpool and Leeds winger was released by Al Gharafa.

Some of us also resigned to the fact that we're finished as any kind of major football force. Personally am getting to the stage of not caring all that much. Far more important things in life than spending my time worrying about what way the next bunch of chancers are going to rip us off and pull the wool over supporters eyes. If McD works out and hopefully succeeds than great. If he's ****e and fails miserably through lack of backing, I'm not too bothered anymore.. Exactly what I'm expecting

Do you think he might end up replacing Lorimer as the fans representative on the board? <whistle>

Then again, nothing would surprise me these days! <doh>

On seperate note, have you seen that Judge and Taylor have both signed for Blackburn? Both would've complimented our squad hugely and both were free and both would have been on very fair wages. These are the sort of signings I want us to target for the club, clever decisions while spending a relatively low amount with maybe one or two bigger signings to assert ourselves
