Morning Class, (Good Morning Mr Elland...)

We are reported to be considering a move for Swindon Town right-back Nathan Thompson, just incase Byram leaves in the Summer.

I could be wrong, but that does not sound good to me.... Should a club, who are trying to build be acting in this way?

Are we considered to be a selling club?

Peter Taylor, the England under 20 Manager was a guest on the Richard Keys and Andy Gray show on TalkSport talking about the upcoming tournament. He mentioned Byram when asked about which players he intended including.'Sam Byram, of Leeds United, everyone thinks he`s going to go to the Premiership,"

Taylor told TalkSport."I did speak to Brian McDermott and he`s desperate to keep him. He`s really happy with him.

I think Taylor should mind his own business. Thoughts?

Leeds have launched their new membership scheme, and to be fair, GFH are making an effort.

i) They'll be three packages, Gold, Silver and Bronze

ii) Adult membership starts from just £20.

iii) There will be a change in the order of priority for away tickets, with Gold members given first choice.

iv) Retail discounts for Gold and Silver members

Thoughts peeps?

I think we have to accept that at the minute we're seen as a selling club. Recent dealings in the transfer market will have been noticed by clubs, and they likely know that we need money and are probably willing to accept decent offers on our star players. It's not a situation I'm happy with though, but one McDermott is used to dealing with.

Could do without people like Taylor giving Byram even more publicity though <laugh>

It was driving me insane a couple of months ago that the BBC championship front page had an article about his amazing development for what seemed like weeks!
 
Morning lads. Personally I'm sick of us selling our up and coming players. He's had one good season and the hype is unbelievable. It happened with Howson after he had a good season. I don't know what state our finances are in, but if we really are trying to get out of this League we've got to keep our good players. It's going to be an interesting summer.
Regarding membership, I've no problem with it. They've done away with the international membership which was cheaper, but it's still worth it for me anyway because it makes getting tickets easier...:emoticon-0148-yes:
 
I think we have to accept he is gonna go. GFH have no option unless they manage to sell shares to Parkin which according to sauces ;) is further away now than it was 2 month ago

I know I shouldn't bite TC, but that trophy is technically ours due to the fact that the ref was bribed by those cheating Itallians, not sour grapes but something that was proved. Of course if that had happened to any other British team, they'd have been awarded it...:headbang:
 
After a long lay off due to working all day till too late to post in the good morning threads.... Good morning.

A day off. Sun shining. a day at York races. wife driving. lots of beer, life is fine today.

Byram will go, we will be loaning him back for the season. Moyes is taking him to the Theatre of 5hite. If we get £6mill -£8mill and invest the lot then that makes sense IMO.
We need Morison gone and him replaced with somethinng mobile, Stephen Hawking would be better up front.

As for membership got season tickets and am planning a good few away days. Certainly doing Wigan, udders, wendy, Millwall Blackpool , smoggies and Blackburn. If anyonne wants a shirt bought with the membership discount next season PM me. I wont be using the voucher I think it is £8.20 of the £43 selling price IIRC.

Bit ironic considering Leeds' success in the 70's was a result of bribery and cheating for the most part. Hence why Revie was banned for 10 yeas from the English game.

real proof that a little bit of knowledge can be dangerous in someones mind with a lack of brain cells :)

Bremner proved in court that the bribery allegations were a load of **** anyone do carry on pee brain
