A handful of Hull City's most promising youngsters can spend the summer dreaming of a Premier League adventure after being awarded their first professional deals.

Academy graduates Danny Chambers, Ben Clappison, Joe Cracknell, Matty Dixon and Sam Topliss will all join the senior fold next season and continue on a journey they hope will conclude with a place in Steve Bruce's first-team plans...

Chambers has scored plenty in the youth and reserve teams, and I'm sure Cracknell has appeared on the first team bench a few times

Would it be worth sending a couple to Ferriby for a few months?

Barlow and some other kid have also been offered senior contracts as that was part of their deals when they moved here (Barlow from Grimsby?)

Another sign of Duffen\Brown's ineptitude? Offering such ludicrous terms to 13/14 year olds!

Ben clappison will 100% make a first team appearance but will he be like cooper or stay?

It's nearly four years since we signed Barlow, if he wasn't good enough, we'd have released him.

I read it as they signed pre-contracts back then. The article I was reading seemed to suggest those five won contracts on merit, whereas these two had been given them due to contractual obligations.

Pre-contract agreements signed four years before they come into effect?

I don't think so.

Jonathan Margetts has also been given a new one year deal today.

Any of those with potential to step up?

Without question Sam Topliss and Ben Clappison. Much better than East and Bradley hence why they have gone.

Not now that Hull City reserves will be in the BPL reserve league and up against far better players. Maybe North Ferriby would like Cammy Stewart on loan though ?

Just as long as he stays professional unlike Cooper. Thankfully we dont have a Bullard in the squad anymore.
Shame as Liam Cooper has been a waste of talent. He is far better than Chesterfield in league 2 even now.

With news of Margetts that makes 8 of the youth on pro-contracts. Good news.
