As luke said, we look very stable.

With AVB gradually starting to install a "never say die"/ winning mentality at spurs, if Levy backs him properly, we might not be a million miles away from a real challenge next year.
New management might cause the to manc clubs to have a transition period (one which we somehow escaped under AVB??!!) so you just never know!!
We've been saying for years that we only need 2 or 3 quality players and a bit more depth.
That's possible this summer.

How do you guys feel about AVB, on the topic?

I know he wasn't universally wanted, but he looks like he's done a grand job, if still a little short when it comes to mixing it up (not got the players, maybe?)

Is he improving, I know you lost a bit of form, but at times this season you have been incredible.

Right man? Keep Bale, top striker, and a left back (not Rose he is woeful, may as well give him us) and he might take you an extra step, United WILL be weaker without Fergie, City are all over the place, all about beating Chelsea for the title I reckon (sorry lads...)

He's not perfect, but he's got some thing very, very right and he needs to work on a number of others. I'll withhold judgement until he's got a few more players out and his own in.
We're winning games after going behind and we never seem to know when we're beaten, but the football's not been as fluid as it was under Redknapp at it's best and he's made some odd choices at times.
Some of our first half performances have been really dull and he seems to veer from making crazy substitutions to getting them spot on, even when they don't look that clever at the time.
Held his head well over the Lloris situation at the start of the season, but his handling of one or two other areas hasn't been top-notch.

Promising first season, for me, but we need an injection of creativity and flair in the summer, as well as one or two strikers who fit the system and want to put the work in.
You'll probably see quite a range of opinions about him, I expect.

It was obvious Mancini was getting sacked the moment Pellegrini said in a recent press conference that he can't confirm he'll be at Malaga next season, even if he has recently declined any contact with City.

Doesn't surprise me about the man-management issue as being one of the reasons behind his sacking, seemed a real arrogant prick and never really got behind his players when things went wrong.
 
Anyone else think City's current situation sounds a tad familiar?

* Manuel Pellegrini is the flavour of the month in Spain
* Begiristain identifies Pellegrini as the man to take the club forward
* City look for any excuse to get rid of Roberto Mancini
* With Mancini out of the way, they move for Pellegrini

The thing with Mancini is that, if they didn't win the title last season, he may have been out of a job then - his one-man witch hunt against Carlos Tevez, where none of the players backed up his story, certainly showed the lack of harmony between Mancini and his squad.

On the other hand, he was hamstrung this season by a couple of things - the board were happy to bring in Rodwell and Sinclair for the purpose of them not signing for anyone else, but Mancini was looking to sign a top striker but the board weren't backing him then. Also, he couldn't generate funds due to several Hughes-era signings having hugely over-inflated wages and weren;t willing to take a pay cut, so they were either loaned out of sold but with City paying a chunk of their wages at their new club.
 
Wouldn't you all be laughing all the way to the bank?
They say success pays.......well so does failure!!!!!!!
