    Well, let's see.

The first part of my comment was adding to the current topic of conversation. So I imagine that if you follow the thread it is of relevance.

Secondly, you are on a thread about watching Liverpool. Coutinho in fact actually plays for Liverpool, and indeed played very well today.

If you are not interested in either point, chances are you're in the wrong place <ok>.

Coutinho looks like a pretty talented player, but he really needs to work on his fitness.
Reminds me of how Malbranque used to be for us. Impressive and influential for an hour, then may as well not be on the pitch in most games.

Cou was still full throttle all game, and his sublime assist came in the 85th. He's a slight Brazilian who's only played in Italy and a bit in Spain, for him to adapt so quickly to the physicality of the PL bodes well

  4. Yet again, 'Pool puts in a very convincing performance without Goofy.

Which ever way you look at it, he's looking more and more as being surplus to requirement with each passing game, especially with the amount of emotional baggage that he carries with him.

Sturridge has certainly lessened the burden of goals on Suarez.

However it might be a little too simplistic to say Suarez missing = more goals/better performances. We certainly miss that extra dimension that he can give us - it was painfully clear against Everton, with their good defensive record, that we needed that little bit extra.

PNP, I'd agree that Cou did lack match fitness when we signed him - a circumstance of his treatment in Italy and injury - but he seems capable of playing 80+ minutes now.

Hopefully next season he'll perform in the big games - currently he's ripping the lower placed sides apart. Thought he was very well marshalled by Ivanovic v Chelsea, and was unable to make the difference v Everton. But then again, he is young.

Certainly making up for Dempsey anyway.

EDIT: Always really liked Steed Malbranque as a kid! Classy on his day.

If Watford don't go up in 2 weeks Liverpool and Spurs will be fighting with everyone else for the services of Troy Deeney <whistle>

Although Liverpool didn't win a trophy this year, Luis Suarez still managed to taste European success.

The progress they've made this season is astounding.

Last season they won 47.3% of their games and this year they've managed a very impressive 45.1% and all that whilst playing 22 matches less and therefore much fresher all season long and only after spending 50M. I can see why they are talking up their chances for next season <whistle>

I think they'll be there or thereabouts challenging for top 5 and thwarting a lot of other teams. BR didn't do a bad job seeing as where they were once upon a time this season.

And on the final day the Spurs fans, mocking others all season, suffer the familiar feeling of seeing Arsenal finish above them and their team choking yet again.

Which club Bale goes to is unknown at this point <ok>

We only finished 11 points ahead of you this season, too. Very disappointing.
I wonder if Bale will join Suarez at whichever club he's going to? They Uruguayan will want to play some sort of European football, I guess.

Thanks for that, Mystic Meg. <ok> I'd love to know how you've come to those conclusions, though.

Remember when Liverpool used to think it was a dire season finishing 10 points behind Man Utd? Now you're further back than that from us and stuck behind Everton.
Don't worry though, next year is your year.

You have to blame AVB for not taking a leaf out of Rogers' book though. if he'd have followed his lead at the start of the season and asked to meet the FA because the officials were being so unfair you might have had 4th place sewn up weeks ago.

Lol mousers piping up after finishing behind Everton and spending a whole lot more.

The most deluded fans in the world!

Next year though eh! That's if you're not still in a youth detention centre for nicking sweets.
