decent point but that does it actually change anything? We were on 39 points with better GD so wigan needed 2wins (or 1 win by like 10 goals). We are now on 40 so wigan still need two wins all it means is that a point against stoke gurantees us saftey regardelss of wigan (again except if they go bonkers!)
Don't panic. Pochettino will bring the right players in. I have never believed that we'll be Champs League yet. We lack in depth and quality. Three or four weeks ago, I was chastised by some for saying that we needed CBs. After a good run, people suddenly thought we were top quality all over; we aren't. We are quite good and with 3 or 4 quality editions, we can be comfortably top half.
We havn't 'ensured' anything. I'm more talking about games where we have 2/3rds of the ball, 2/3rd of the efforts and manage to get a nervy draw. If it wasnt some excellent performances against bigger sides we would be going down.
We are 99.9% safe. Even if Wigan beat Arsenal they are playing Villa on the last day and both teams are behind us. It's similar to the scenario when we got promoted from league 1.
In my book we are. Wigan play Villa and only one of those teams can go ab ove us. We are safe.
Oh stop thinking like that. If we had lost to City, Chelsea and Liverpool we may well have picked up points from games we didn't pick up points or win. There's no way of knowing how we would have done against QPR,WBA etc if results against the big teams were different.
We need to start winning these games we dominate. That's one point out of 6 when the performances have deseved max points.
Oh right I see now to be honest I thought we were safe before hand anyway but nice that this point makes it all but certain were up. Great season can't ask anything more from a newly promoted team!
Yes but one of those games was away to a CL chasing team who have the best player in the league.
