Im waiting on the Venetia Williams Nagpur!!! For a treble and some doubles with Ruler of the World and Enobled!
    Should I be feeling confident?

Do the bookies hold onto your bets for a week if you get a treble up? <laugh>

I looked at him Gaz but he was plenty short enough given there are several in this of a similar ability on hurdles figures, which tbh is all the evidence we have to go on...nothing even worthwhile from the pointing field.

He seems the only one in form but this race looks muy trappy...good luck though.

6 45 Wincanton-- Bold Perk is primed for a repeat of last years c&d win-- pipe opener 4 weeks ago-- same as last year , i see there are only three rivals, perhaps most resistance from Key Cutter who goes well fresh...

    7.20 Clonmel

    Kick Start 12/1

On his 3 starts over hurdles, a mark of 95 would be about right for this 8 year old but if his 3 quick runs over timber were to get him a handicap mark then I think Kick Start could be well in judged by the form of his bumper run for his previous trainer. Formerly with Vincent Ward, Kick Start made his racecourse in a bumper at the Galway Festival back in July 2010 where he was extremely well supported from a morning price of 33/1 into an SP of 7/1 but he slipped up in a horrible incident that saw him crash through the rails. Still travelling very well with about 4f to go, Kick Start clipped heels with another run and came down in an event that clearly must have left a mark on him as he was off the track for a further two years. It was such a vicious incident that he looked lucky to be alive. After a long recovery period, previous trainer Vincent Ward again sought to try again try and win with him at the Galway Festival in August last year where he once again saw significant market support early on from an opening price of 16/1 into as short as 4/1. He did drift significantly before the off, however, as he clearly got very wound up and was awash with sweat on his neck prior to the off. That didn't stop him running an excellent 6.75L 3rd (front 3 16L clear of the rest) in a race that has worked out extremely well. The winner was the extremely talented and unbeaten Annie Power who looks a superstar whilst the runner up Dursey Sound has since been sold to Jonjo O'Neill where he won his first two starts over hurdles and has an official rating of 138. Moreover, the comprehensively beaten 5th Pyrus Gold Win has won a Maiden Hurdle subsequently and on that form he'd be chucked in off a mark of 95.

That was his final start for Ward as he was sold to the Michael Butler yard where he had 3 quick start over the space of 38 days where he was always out the back and I'm hopeful it was just to get him experience over hurdles and a low handicap mark. He hasn't looked a winner in waiting over hurdles or anything like that but he should find things an awful lot easier in this weak looking race. In addition to that strong form in the bumper, he is related to quite a few winners as well that would make his opening mark of 95 look potentially lenient. Four of Kick Start's half brothers have won including dual Grade 2 flat winner Kirkwall and his pedigree certainly suggests that his Bumper run was no fluke at all. New trainer Michael Butler is far from a prolific winner to say the least but I do find it interesting that Kick Start makes his handicap debut over hurdles at Clonmel where the stable have a 2-14 record. 5lb claimer Derek Fox looks a very interesting booking on what is just his 2nd ride for the yard and only ride of the night. I certainly wouldn't be advising anything other than a small bet as he may not be as good over hurdles but I'm willing to take a small chance that he's better than his opening mark with a really promising bumper run to his name.
