They said that there was some regulation about having to require tickets. It wasnt the clubs choice.

Apparently the ticket was needed to get in due to safety limit set in the Safety Certificate

I think the presentations and the interviews with Macca, Bruce and Assem went really well(and the players looked happy with the appreciation) and that's all I really went for.

The X-Factor audition was a bit messy, the fireworks outside the ground were slightly odd, as was no having any beer available on the concourse. Apparently, with no coppers in attendance, everyone had to be allocated a seat by the ticket office, which obviously didn't help with the numbers.

I disagree with that actually, wouldn't you have to go twice to the KC? Once to collect your tickets and then back again, or were tickets available right up until the start? It is a lot to ask on a working day with 12 hours notice. People have lives that they cant rearrange.

Edit - that answers my point then. Say if you live out east - Hornsea even - and you work full time and have a couple of kids - how the fook at such short notice are you meant to get to the KC during the day before 5pm, pick up tickets and then go back again on the same night? NorthYorksTiger said you couldn't reserve a ticket over the phone - why couldnt you walk up on the night and be give a ticket at 6.30pm? It really is a **** system, overall idea and has soured the promotion celebration somewhat. And all for a bit of 'non-council partnership' pettiness.

I went into the North-West Side with the kids as it was a all-reserve game. (Pointless)

Why they did the Fireworks when everyone was still in the Stadium is beyond me, the players were still doing their lap of honour (and Elmo was still dancing).

It was good to see the players and the trophy get lifted but quite a disappointing night nonetheless.

Me and my mates (me being the only Season Pass holder) was going to sit in the North Stand where the away fans usually sit. When I went to get in, they told me I had to sit where my Season Card put me back in the East Stand because it was an "all-reserved" ticket occasion because they were expecting a Full-Capacity Sell-Out.

I asked them whether they were actually, or honestly trying to tell me they were expecting a full Stadium on a poorly organised Wednesday night and they said yes... ?

Luckily, another one of my mates decided he didn't want to go (met a girl instead) and I walked from the KC Stadium back to Paragon Interchange to meet him to get the ticket and walk back to the KC.

We didn't see any of the fireworks display because they did it at the same time as the players being on the pitch and you could hardly hear what the McShane, Allam and Bruce were saying through the speakers.

The 'Ulltra's made it funny though chanting "is that all you bring away?" to us and we had some good banter prior to the solo acoustic singer.

Yes I appreciate both of these but why couldnt those wanting to attend pick up a ticket as they arrived on the evening instead of having to go twice? It shouldve been possible to gain entrance in just one visit as if paying on the gate. You walk up to the turnstile, a steward standing there hands you a ticket and you go in. Once there are no more tickets left you turn people away (that was never going to happen) It's really not rocket surgery.

Why make it more difficult than a normal match to get in?

Only right that the party was held at the KC, with medals and trophy being presented on the pitch.
That was how it was done in seasons 03/04 and 05/06.

Should have done it on a Friday night to give more time and give the kids better chance with no school next day.

The idea of a civic reception, parade and balcony was OK with Luke Campbell and the Wembley team because they were returning from out of town with a trophy/medal. Would have been wrong on this occasion.

A lot of the people complaining in the media about Dr.Allam not having a parade would probably be the first in line to complain of him showing off he he had had one.

I dont disagree with any of that, it's just the ticketing process was a shambles. I can see no real reason why people couldnt collect a ticket when they arrived there at 6pm last night. If I lived in Hull, I wouldnt have gone twice to the KC in 1 day for this and I imagine many feel the same.

There seem to have been a big mess up with the tickets.
The media was saying that ticket were available from 9 till 5, at both Tiger Leasure at the ground and Princess Quay, but City were saying you could get them at the ground up until 6-30 last night.

Entry to the event is free, though everybody attending will need a ticket due to safety regulations. 2012/13 Season Card holders will be able to use their card to gain entry to the stadium. All other tickets can be collected from the Tiger Leisure store at the KC Stadium from 9am-6.30pm and the Tiger Leisure store at Princes Quay between 9am and 5pm on Wednesday (subject to availability). Turnstiles will open at 18:30, and there will be entertainment building up to the players’ arrival.

Some say that Proschwitz has gone back to Germany and others said he had been taken ill.

As for the party it did what it did and was ok considering the short notice of it all. Looks like the elf n safety nuts stopped the fireworks from being set off in the KC. You would have thought that a camera could have been outside and shown on the big screen. From where i was i saw more than enough. Thankfully now the players can go off on there summer holidays and Internationals. The next 2 months will fly by.

Shame Nick P. could not make it. The fireworks were short but good.
