You treat Nigel Pearson as a villain for leaving you for a bigger club (), how would you react to Steve Bruce should he leave you now?

I'd certainly hope everyone would still hold him in the highest regard.

What you state as 'winding up' is just irritating and annoying, also childish. You post a lot on the Hull City board for some reason so you should know that we did not 'all vilify Pearson'.

I'd agree with PLT - I for one wouldn't begrudge SB taking the opportunity to manage Man Utd. I suspect most managers would jump at the chance to manage them given half a chance, what with them being arguably the biggest club side in the world.

It wouldn't be like he was taking a backwards step just for the money now would it

Just for you i shall. Good Luck to him IF massive IF he did. One thing is for sure though is that Steve Bruce would be open and honest unlike what Nigel Pearson was. The only issue i have with Pearson is the way he left and NOT THAT HE LEFT. Ok ???

Of course he'd love to go there, there's probably only a handful of managers in the world who wouldnt give their right arm for that job. In answer to your question, it would depend how he did it. It's a fact of life that bigger clubs take the assets of smaller ones but there is a way you can facilitate this with class. Anyway I really dont think it would be an issue because....and here's a question to you:

Which possible club would go for him that he would want to leave us for?

The only way he can rebuild his reputation sufficiently at his age to get a top job would be to win a cup with us or take us into Europa, which really isnt going to happen. Literally the only realistic possibility I can think of would be Stoke and I cant see that either. All top jobs now will be looking for an outstanding candidate - which he isnt, he's good - or someone young with incredible potential. I think he's with us until we sack him or jacks it in cos he doesnt need the stress and hassle anymore.

By the time Lesta go up Steve Bruce will have established Hull City as a PL club.

Next seasons championship is going to be tougher than ever. For sure i will enjoy the watch from afar.

Youre missing my point, which is that THEY wouldnt want HIM. There is always a younger, sexier, more flamboyant option to help sell tickets - I'm thinking Poyet, Di Canio and the like - and we'll gladly stick with our unsexy yet extremely capable option.

Me? No. Like the majority of fans, I was grateful for what Nige did for us, and was totally understanding of why he left. It ended up VERY nicely for us, and fair to say if Nige hadnt left us, we wouldn't now be a Premier League team. How is it back down there in the Championship btw? I remember when we were down there.

Only a very small handful "vilified" him, but we still love you and your naughtiness, so, carry on!

I think a lot of people would respect Bruce's decision, a job that hasn't been available for 27 years is a big draw. Obviously we'd be disapointed, but hey, life moves on.

Klopps an interesting one. German football being the dominant force in Europe now he will stay in Germany I suppose unless he thinks he needs a new challenge, but they worship him over there, had the ads on TV etc. like Mourinho did when he was over here.

I'm not so sure about Klopp. He said in the CL semi-final he couldn't watch the last few minutes and went and hid in the toilets. Surely when the pressure is on big clubs want a manager who can stand on the touchline appearing strong and composed to help the players through it? Imagine being a Dortmund player that game looking for something from your manager, a tactical tweak or some instruction to close what ever holes there were in the team and you saw he had no confidence in you/himself because he'd gone and hidden from the challenge. When our lot did it at the weekend we'd finished our game, so it's fair enough hiding away from events you have no control over, and that's probably the key in it. Klopp in the semi basically gave up and said that they were no longer in control of their destiny.
