A loss for Wigan is fine

We don't want them to engage in Manure hypocrisy of blaming other teams for letting rivals triumph

What a disaster for Wigan by Wigan.Mess ups galore in that defence. But,as against Spurs,I noticed yet again someone forgot to cut the grass and, probably overwatering to the extent that passes were slowing up and not reaching their destinations.
Is this why Wigan are better away?

A point would have been better. All newcastle need is 1 point from thier penultimate match of the goons beat Wigan. Newcastle against the goons will then become meaningless for the Geordies.

Wigan have conceded 67 goals in 36 games; I'm surprised they're even in with a chance of survival.

As a side note to all this Bacon Face news, anyone else noticed that the Man Utd squad are seemingly officially on holiday now, golf day yesterday, at Chester races today. It's outrageous.

In 09-10 they conceded 79 and stayed up and Burnley went down on the final day with a wopping 82 conceded in the same season...

Not really, your knowledge is the only thing I see that's weaker.

  12. Talking of rivals, I wonder what effect Mourhino going to United is going to have on the morale of their players for next season?

If they get Moyes in as new manager, it should, at the very least, see the end of all the "tea boy" insults aimed at The Magician.

Goes to show how poor Wigan's defence is, despite all the eulogies about how well they pass the ball.

I don't see Wigan losing so they play stronger v Arsenal a bonus, they have the small matter of Cup Final day first, if that goes to ET you can forget about giving the goons a game imo. Only the unlikely event of the Latics winning the Cup will put extra spring in their step...and thats not so outlandish as it seems, different cup, but no-one expected Birmingham to win one recently. :)

You must know you won't get an intelligent answer Luke. :) Don't forget you're dealing with whoever is in the CL final has the strongest league, the Portugese and French leagues were streets ahead of everyone in 2004 according to DL! <laugh>

    Compared to 2004...

    Managers not as good
    Players not as good
    Teams not as good

Yet somehow the PL is stronger <laugh>

Rio Ferdinand has claimed that van Persie should've won POTY instead of Bale. Nothing surprising or even controversial about that, but his reasoning is extremely poor.
He believes that the Welshman only won it because of the timing of the voting.

'There's so much technology at hand that you could do it over an iPad and just say 'bang, bang, bang' at the end of the season.
'I am not just being biased but if it was voted for today Robin van Persie would win it by a country mile.
'But it was voted for by the players in late February or March.
'Gareth Bale is a worthy winner, but for me it isn't a true reflection of the season.'

Not sure what he's been watching over the past couple of months. Bale's form has improved recently and van Persie's has dropped off rather badly.
