what the actual fuck are you on . ? i dont know who the feck sarah matty is and im not the slightest bit interested , but it seems she sucked out most of you brain cells into the bargain .
Yea I saw that, £10M is a bit steep though, considering his age and contract we should be able to get him for less.
Would be amazing. How about.. David Villa Cesc Fabregas Geoffrey Kondogbia and a experienced (not too expensive) keeper like Cesar. Just watched Cavani 3-1 Inter, and holy crap he is quite a player. Would be an absolute dream if we signed him.
After reading the stories that Wenger said Podolski is the best finisher at the club it got me thinking. There have heen rumours that he has been carrying an injury all season and there have been more substantial stories that he will have surgery on his ankle at the end of the season. How good can he be fully fit? We might not need another striker (except to replace Giroud). The rumours that we have agreed to buy Villa are new to me but the previous rumours were that we had agreed to sign Jovetic. Do we need both unless we're getting rid of Pod and Giroud? A fit Pod and Jovetic will do for me with Theo as cover. I think after taking age into account and that Villa is not quite what he used to be (although I havent seen much of him this season) Jovetic may be the better option, unless we get both to replace Giroud.
You keep talking about replacing Giroud as if it's a done deal. Is there any indication Wenger will do this? I'm not confident in Giroud's ability either, but I'm pretty sure Wenger will give him a second season; as would most managers. At his previous clubs, he's had better second seasons, so perhaps he will with us too. I'm not optimistic, but some improvement would be welcome.
Yeah, Giroud has to have a second season. You can't expect players to adapt to the PL in one season, even if some players do manage it. Big stikers often mature late in their careers, so he may have a chance.
I am not even one of Giroud's biggest fans, but I still think it would be extremely harsh to sell him after one season.
Absolutely. When has AW ever given up on a player in less than a year ? Plenty of speculation about Villa and Jovetic being done deals, if that's the case Pod and Giroud will make the 4 pronged strike squad and for the first time in years we'd have very decent back up to cover injury/suspension. Walcott will also see some CF action and I'd expect Gervihno to move on as he is still under contract and we can recoup a few quid for him
