Fair point. But no-one helps Fox out either. People seem to happily ignore that though.

It was Gareth Bale though. When he gets the ball in that area its very tough for anyone to guard him 1 v 1. I think everyone expected Mayuka to make some sort of challenge that would force an extra dribble maybe or at least not as easy a shot. Bale was able to set up onto his left just the way he wanted and with his ability, he's going to score.

I'm not too upset by the loss by itself, but the fact that all the other results seem to have gone against us makes me much more nervous than I was yesterday.

Pray Stoke beat Sunderland meaning a) Stoke will be safe by the time we play them and b) A win over Sunderland would make us safe or at least a draw would keep us above them.... I think.

Balls, Sunderland have Stoke at home tomorrow...very winnable for them.

Which keeps Stoke in touch.

Stoke lose to Sunderland and Spurs and, at worst, we'll be one point behind them going into the last day.

That game is actually immaterial, because Sunderland would move above us with a win next weekend anyway, and if they don't beat us there's really no point to the panic.

It's in our hands. Play as we're capable and we'll pick up the points against Stoke but it was good to get something up at Sunderland.

It's also a Sunderland side without Fletcher and Sessegnon. Not exactly a bundle of goals left in that team, without those two.

Betting on your own team losing is such a sad act. I don't want to sound righteous but it's the same as temporarily swapping teams for mine.

Well it could only have gone worse today if Newcastle got a result against Wet Spam, I'm dissapointed and I know I should have been concerned before Spurs as I didn't think we would get anything out of it its the Wigan result that has me worried, another good result for them on Tuesday and Sunderland win on Monday and we would have 3 teams 1 behind us, one with momentum, going into the final 2 games. :( *sigh*

I am confident we can get something at Sunderland. They are without Sessegnon and Fletcher, and Di Canio's honeymoon period is well and truly over.

Bullshit is it. I obviously don't want Southampton to go down, but if they do, then the weight of my wallet will stop me caring about any self righteous sneering.
