Boyd can't play as a lone striker.

4231 is my favoured formation and probably Bruce's as well. The lone striker is crucial though, he must be a specialist like Lambert or Holt or Lukaku. Ours was supposed to be Bomber. Unfortunately, das Deutschländer ist kaput!

I would like to see Elmo nowhere near our first team personally. He's been rubbish for months, doesn't seem to have the stomach for a fight, pulls out of tackles left right and centre and just isn't delivering. As Einstein said, the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Time for Fathi, and maybe even Cairney, sod it, some people deserve to lose their place with their recent performances. If he does go with the tried and tested and give them fine last go then I hope, if the unthinkable happens and they mess it up, he'll make ringing changes for the playoffs. But I just don't think Bruce, for all his other qualities, his major fault is not changing things quickly enough when all can see something isn't working.

I must be seeing things because you've got Koren in your team.

You've spent all season calling him from a pig to a dog but now the chips are down you want him in the team.

    Please explain.

    This should be good.

Or you play a false number 9. Aluko played that role earlier in the season, with attacking intent from the 3 supporting players.

I honestly don't get why people want us to change formation after it has been so successful. I doubt anyone would be saying anything if we where playing 4-4-2.

We CAN'T drop Elmo, Quinn or Meyler, they're too imperative to the team and formation!

Looks like Koren is out, so I'd be tempted to play Evans and Meyler on either side of Fathi. Evans has the energy to get up and down the pitch as he proved under Pearson, he'll also be fresh physically.

That's the line up I would go for if he opts for 352, obviously Koren we know now is unlikely to be fit, so will go with Boyd. On Frayatt listening to an interview he did and his body language, I think physically he is not far off being fully fit, but mentally he is not right yet.

Is Bellamy likely to be playing? I hope he is, I really want to touch him, never touched anyone famous (except for Jessica Jane clement) and I missed my chance with Stevie g last time.

I don't know why you keep saying that. When Meyler plays as the holding DM he's miles better there than Evans is. If we had another CM who was as good as Quinn is the midfield would pick itself every week and Meyler would be DM permanently.

Having seen the team news I'd be tempted to play Bruce somewhere. Amazing how views on him have changed since the start of the season (particularly my own). I'm gonna get slated for this but I'd stick him in midfield. He can't lose the ball any more than Evans does and his ability to get stuck in could be important.

    Stockdale
    Chester Faye Hobbs
    Elmo Meyler Bruce Quinn Brady
    Boyd Simpson

I just cant understand why Fathi hasnt had more of a look in, when he's played as a DM he has looked miles better than Evans, that's for sure.

IMO it has to be this team

    Stockdale

    Chester Faye McShane

    Elmohamady Meyler Evans Quinn Brady

    Fryatt Boyd

We have to go with our best. No time for experiments.

I think his error @ Wolves has done for him as a starter. It was a shocker sadly.

Another who may be needed off the bench at the close of play.
