I love Samsung, I've got a Samsung Ultrabook and a S4 on the way! I've only had it two months so far so I can't comment on the reliability but the picture quality on the HD channels is really exceptional.

 

Samsung s4 is rubbish .

Market leaders, BD, and not for some vague reason of brand either. LG [Lucky Goldstar, for those that have always been curious as to the initials] press them close, and occasionally leapfrog on the technology, but you're very safe in the knowledge that you've got just about as good as it gets, if you purchase a Samsung TV.

Sony, Panasonic and the rest are sprinting just to keep from falling further behind the above two manufacturers, in brown consumer electronic goods.

Bit of trivia. When I was in-between summer terms at Uni, I occasionally went to work for Comet, and managed a couple of stores after, back in the 1990s. I saw the emergence of Samsung in the main consumer market. Their products were always of very good specification and feature rich. Their reliability was reasonably good right from the start too, but of course nobody knew of them. It didn't take too long, because Samsung didn't stick behind the other companies. They innovated.

 

This is amazing to follow. Wish I was watching it.

 

Disagree totally . Yes both as companies are struggling , but as far as TV's go , both offer fantastic products , as do Samusng and a few others .

Just a thought, did you see the recent announcement of a 2nd chance scheme that Saints were launching for youngsters that had not been kept on by their respective academies. It's being welcomed as a step change by a lot of coaches who are convinced a lot of talent is going missing. A piece on players who had been rejected by their academies and gone on to forge successful careers for themselves and the changes a 2nd chance scheme will make would make a very good subject to get your journalistic teeth into. I was thinking of doing it myself, but I'm not giving my Open University work the attention it is due at the moment!

 

I don't know how I would react if a driver died these days, especially someone of Senna's calibre. The scary thing is there have been so many instances where a driver could easily have died if they'd had their accidents, say, 20 years ago.
