How does he do it eh? For a bloke who lost a few mill and found relegation, he always so damn positive!
Those players should A) be publicly named and shamed for their poor attitude and B) left to rot in the reserves away from our new Championship squad next season.
I fear that's part of the problem. There's a fine line between always being so damn positive and actually being somewhat deluded. Some of our fan base suffer from the same condition. Had Tony been a bit more pragmatic and engaged in realism rather than dream-mode last Summer and this season, perhaps we might not be in this mess. Yet maybe that's too harsh because I think he's a top Chairman and a great bloke to have in charge of the Club. Still, I fear that he hasn't learned from his mistakes and he might continue to throw good money after bad next year looking for instant results and football's just not like that.
I hope he has learned/is learning from this fiasco. I'm prepared to be patient and let it happen gradually, whatever "it" is. Solid foundations, players that care about the club, young players who can evolve together alongside a couple of older heads to guide the way - thats the direction we need to head in now. Back to basics time.
