    Man Utd (A)
    Spurs (H)
    Villa (A)
    Everton (H)

Can't see us winning all 3 but Spurs and Everton at home plus Villa away are most certainly winnable. Been a long and winding season but not far off the finishing line. If we win at Old Trafford next week that should wrap it up nicely irrespective of what Spurs and Arsenal do. Unlike them, we play well under pressure.

Reckon we could just nick it at OT. If we do, we're sorted, ands thats assuming both Spurs and Arsenal win.

The best thing about today is now United have nothing to play for. Arsenal drop points and the United do as well meaning they cannot break our points record. Had United won today there is every chance beating us next week would hand them the record (virtually).

Man U - Nothing to play for
Everton - Nothing to play for + Lampard last game
Villa - Worst home record in the PL
Spurs - Lost away to all of the top 7 they've played bar United. And a laughable record against us anyway.

We just need to stay injury free and 3rd is there for the taking. We'd be home and dry but for the officials last weekend.

We can get top 4 if we lose to United, draw with spurs and win our last two.

Agree but we need to beat Spurs, that all but ends their top 4 challenge and means we can go into the last day relaxed.

I'd like to think there are 10 points waiting for us! The Spuds will be eyeballs out to beat us for obvious reasons but I fancy we'll take them!

If we don't beat them at home we've got to ask ourselves serious questions given everybody else in the top 7 bar United have. Plus we've beaten United at home twice, drawn to City and beaten Arsenal so we are capable if we stay injury free. Spurs are not as good defensively as Arsenal either.

I see us getting 7 but that will be enough for top 4 with our vastly superior goal difference. In some ways I'd love to pip the Spuds on gd to make their summer even worse than last season.

    Disagree with you District.

No game is easy at this stage.

    1. Man Utd - they are at home and regardless of nothing to play for they will want to win - today proves that.
    2. Everton have bragging rights to play for. They haven't finished above Liverpool in years. The rivalry on Merseyside is one on the strongest on the prem, my old man is a scouser and a red at that - they refer to Everton as bitter blues, you can bet every toffee in Merseyside will want a win if it means beating you.
    3. Although Villa are awful they are fighting survival, this is not an easy game.
    4. You are correct but 3 of those games were in fortunate. Until Barndoor lost his head we were cruising against the goons. 1-0 up against Everton and they score 2 in last 3 minutes. Unfortunate against Man City after being 1-0 away. AVB will also want to get one over on you - this is not an easy game.

This is not as straightforward as you suggest. Its going to be tough for all 3 teams and before you ask I'm not expecting us (Spurs) to finish in the top 4.

    1. Man Utd, will want to win, but how bad will they want to win. I doubt the intensity will be there.
    2. Everton finished above Liverpool last year.

I'm not saying it will be easy but I'm a firm believer in actions speak louder than words. As Manobear said United will want to win but how badly?

The level of intensity in their game has dropped since City lost to Everton which pretty much wrapped the title up for them.

Take today for example. From the offset Arsenal had something to play for and went all guns blazing, the likes of Waclott and Podolski tracking back 50 yards. United couldn't match their work rate or desire.

Everton finished above Liverpool last season. Unless Liverpool win the derby the match is meaningless. As for Villa, they are an away team. They don't have the confidence or right set up to beat big teams at home

Spot on, it's impossible to match the level of intensity.

I expect us to come out more motivated against you as I do Basel against us.

Everton are only 2 points behind us and 4 behind arsenal so if they win their next 2 games and arsenal drop points they could well be in with a shout of CL football at best and europa at worst....united at ot is difficult....villa are fighting relegation....and we are ****ing awful at your place so I'll give you that one <laugh>

So your suggesting Everton won't want to finish above Liverpool again?

The Merseyside derby is at Pool so I wouldn't count your chickens just yet.

Glad you're all arrogant takes the pressure off us.
