Interesting. So maybe football should be reserved for the middle classes and keep all of those trouble-making oiks out eh?

I think you might need to produce a bit more evidence to prove that wealthier people are any less idiotic than the poor before I'm convinced.

Is there a particular salary level that marks this exclusion point?

I'll quite happily provide you with some reading of why wealth in western society is negatively correlated to violent crime. Makes interesting reading.

I witnessed some shameful support yesterday sadly. Anyone hear the 'that was embarrassing' chant at the end. I was trying to figure out if that was related to the performance or the police presence on the pitch.

You're broadening the discussion by relating it to violent crime and not just obnoxious behaviour at a football match.
Hoolignism in the 80s was often organised by wealthy yuppie types, hence films like 'The Firm' and designer label clad dick-heads who wanted to show they were anything but poor.

If yesterday's game was at Leeds and they'd given us 6,000 seats, the same people woukd have gone, despite it being £30 a ticket.

What a **** opening post. Just cos you don't like the attitude of some supporters you call them part time how do you know they haven't been season ticket holders for 20 years. Im a part time supporter due to financial and time constraints but don't class me the same as other part time supporters

Is this thread really to complain about other fans or a "look at me im a proper fan" thread

It's about the hundredth thread like this.

    It's beyond boring.

Flaskers, bus ****ers, new season ticket holders, West stand blanketers, onesie wearing plastics blah blah blah.

    As Viper said to Maverick.

    'There will be others'.

    Mark my words.

It actually has lead to a significant increase in Germany, they have just had to release new legislation regarding fans to try bringing it down again. The fans weren't happy but arrests where up hugely so nothing really to complain about.

Just no one on benefits, job seekers etc or indeed minimum wage.

    Bollocks let's say £27500.

    Surely that's reasonable isn't it?

Sounds reasonable. Could we also add in that if you can't afford Sky Sports, you shouldn't be allowed to watch any live football too? More needs to be done to clamp down on the rogue websites stealing these broadcasts.

We have to have an element riff raff, just not the really poor ones.

    £30,000 then and no less.

If the standard of people going studying for degrees is demonstrated by BeverleyTiger, heaven help us.
He seems frightened of his own shadow. I am surprised he dares go out in Sheffield where there are a lot more football thugs wandering about than there are in Hull.
I have stuck with City through all the crap in the 70s and 80s, relegations, lockouts, administration etc and never felt like stopping going. But some of the fans we have now are making me think of jacking it. Paying to be surrounded by these Jessies is worse than paying to watch the wonders of a Dolan side.

Do I need to put you on the "Can't afford Sky Sports, so no tickets" list mister?

Clapper old boy I am on the full package, movies the lot for free for six months.

Rang them up and said I was leaving and was on the bones of my arse.

Sat tight and ignored all the letters asking me to stay.

Just before I was about to be cut off they rang me and the boy Galante played hard ball.

    Hey presto free Sky.

    Disclaimer.

My mate tried the same thing after I told him what I'd done and they just disconnected him and more or less told him to **** off.
He's having to pay re get re connected.

You win some, you lose some it's all the same to me.

Wait a sec, are you suggesting that the low lifes on benefits can afford Sky Sports?! Is that what my taxes are paying for now?
