So the FA says the usual 3 match ban is insufficient and he has zero grounds for mitigating circumstances and was warned about future conduct over Evra so what length will he get? I predict 12 games.
I said he should get ten games. However, I can't make my mind up whether the FA will bottle it or make an example of Suarez. I would predict five games for the former and ten for the latter. Edit: Barton got twelve games for three potential red card offences in the space of thirty seconds!
Interesting that you guys think he deserves a ban three times the length of what Terry got. I'm sure I know which one cause more offence...
According to the FA's own rules Terry shouldn't have gotten anything other than what was imposed by the court....so that's nothing. He has previous biting conviction and was recently given 8 games and warned. That's why I think it'll be more.
I was just about to mention this. The FA's rules for multiple racist comments is eight games, was the bite worse?
In that case, a red card for a dangerous tackle should be more than eight games too. Players throw punches, elbows, headbutts, stamps, etc. should these all get more than eight games too? What about Joey Barton? #2 I'm not defending Suarez because, IMO, he deserves ten, twelve, fifteen etc games for what he did, but going by the FA's rules
If you can't see the difference between a late tackle or a mistimed tackle and grabbing someone by the arm and biting them then there really isn't much point to you.
Fair enough on that bit, I expected that response because tackling is part of the game and will happen. But what about the other things I highlighted? PS...try taking personal emotion or club bias out of the equation. If it had happened to a Liverpool player then I'd be calling for that players head too
I just think his track record of biting and the Evra incident will be taken in to account. If previous bans of 7 and 8 games have made no difference to him, which they clearly haven't,then the punishment has to be more severe. If teams could be docked points then everyone might clean up their act.
Yes, he has previous for biting but it was in Holland. Surely the FA can only take into account what they have dealt with themselves? Also, is consideration of previous offences within the FA's rules? Or will they just continue to make them up as they go along? Edit: I know previous offences within the same season apply. For example. A ban for receiving a red card is three games the first time, four games the second, five the third and so on (Barton's twelve games was because of three red card offences and he'd already served a three game ban earlier in the season)
Only an absolute **** would write a thread like this. Oh wait its CPOFL known everywhere as being a class a ****er. Suarez's ugly brother.
Bans given by other FA's are served here if the player moves here so I think they can. Either way they will know about it and know 7 games didn't stop him. The FA warned him about future conduct so as he's ignored them they have every right to take that in to consideration too.
