Unfortunately there are only two drugs they have for Mrs L's type of cancer and the first one failed after 8 months last year so this is the only treatment available. It just has a number of side effects (- her hair is turning silver rather than dropping out) and the potential damage to the heart is another. Crossed fingers she does not get affected too badly with it - she does have a thing called a stent to help so we are hopeful - the scan was called MUGA scan which sounds like something out of a comic book heroes thing :) YOur heart on this thing is supposed to pump at at least 50% of some measure and hers last time was at 39% so not good but not awful - we will see in due course how it is performing now
sorry to read all this, hope things turn out well for you

On a lighter note they were talking about footballers Suarez could eat being on twitter - as I am not on it I only know their Robbie Cabbage, and perhaps AdePieor - did anyone see other ones?

Wow, rather you than me! I had an encounter with a psychotherapist once that didn't end well for him! I felt guilty afterwards, it really wasn't his fault but I let him have it with both barrels! <yikes>

Good luck to him!

afternoon all :)...good luck with finally getting around to doing what you should be doing Yorkie ;)

getting going slowly H!

Back from the garage with four new tyres on Mme's car. Eating grass for a week or two now. :(

Could I possibly call in at the pharmacy on my way to see if she had left her essential Carte Vital behind when she last paid a visit to them. Unless you have this credit card sized piece of plastic you have to pay up front, then claim back the due amount which creates even more paperwork. They did have it I am glad to say and she has been given a lecture on looking after it better. ;)

I agree with your assessment, I lived in Lincoln for 21 years and met GT on many occasions, he was very friendly and approachable.

I was incensed at his awful humiliation at the hands of the gutter press <steam> <grr>

I saw England play a couple of great games under Taylor at Wembley.
What I will always remember Taylor for though apart from the turnip face of course, is failing to qualify from a good group for USA 94.
England played a few days before they lost the big game in Norway to Poland and David Bardsley who had moved on to QPR filled in at right back
He was man of the match but Taylor dropped him against Norway for the experience of Lee Dixon, an attacking wing back was out of the game because Taylor was to cautious.
