I aren't sure, but knowing our reputation in other parts of Yorkshire there'll be stewards/police on every row separating us from a wall. Hopefully we'll get the other 500, because I'd be pretty pissed off if I was in another stand to 5000 other City fans.

Is there any reason this can't be Pay on the Day. Barnsley can hold up to around 8000 with the west stand. I expect the police will have some say but there won't be any trouble it's not that sort of game, this could be like that night in Hillsborough all over again.

So if we win, and Barnsley's survival is seriously impacted, they'll politely applaud will they?

I'll be delighted of we get two stands instead of one.

If we can take 38k to Wembley, and 7.5k to SWFC in Lg 1, surely 8k to Oikwell is not asking too much?

I can just imagine just you and your mate stood in the other stand while 5000 city fans are in together <laugh>

I'm not sure what the situation is going to be with trying to get more seats in another stand, but I'm confident we'll have sold our initial allocation by Tuesday morning.

We have barely sold out away stands this year, so lets try and sell this one out first before we worry about a second stand.

I think at home matches most of the fans expect the players to entertain them whereas at away matches the fans expect to support the team.

That wasn't the case when we were on Bunkers in the 1970s. Stilllisn't with the longtime fans, but is with many who have only started going since AP took over and have no experience other than being sat down watching a game.

The highest away following by a championship club this year is the 5,952 Wednesday fans that travelled to Derby. I think we could possibly beat this! <nahnah>
What I am sure of though is however many we bring we are going to break our highest of the season, the 2,413 that went to Wednesday (and even that was a good atmosphere!) <party>

But strangely all that vociferous support (allegedly) did absolutely **** all in the 70's to push us up the table and into the top division. Explain please

We have better players now. And I didn't say it did push us up divisions. I was comparing how people went to offer encouragement to the team then, which they did with every other club as well, and there were a lot more and noisy fans in similar sized cities to Hull. Which probably showed vocal encouragement was indeed valuable. Not like the dummies which sit in silence in too many grounds today. Ironic to look at the vibrancy of grounds abroad now compared to our libraries and think back in the seventies they used to envy the atmosphere at our grounds.

Basically castro i think you mean i loved it in the 70's, i was young fit had all my life before me, great gang of mates etc and i would agree with you but its bollocks. How loud you shout or sing doesnt affect the game one bit.

I don't even want to think about that, but thankfully I already have my tickets!
