"Our walls are built of cannonballs,
Our motto is 'Don't tread on me'"

Some rep to the first person to say where that comes from (no googling).

Half right TSS, but the quote comes from a song from about 1969.

The only singer I know with a surname of Franklin is Aretha (spelling?) Franklin.

Bournemouth will be promoted today if they win and EITHER Brentford or Doncaster fail to win. This is because Brentford are playing Doncaster on the final day so only one of Brentford and Doncaster need to mess up for Bournemouth to go up today. :D

I just associate "Don't Tread on Me" with the Tea Party now.

Actually I think Sheffield United have to fail to win at Pompey as well as they have a game in hand.

Burnley 0-1 Cardiff. Cardiff only need a draw today to be confirmed as champions.

Well if you get shot in the head the odds are massively against you surviving.

Surviving it isn't as unlikely as you might think.

Well I guess it depends on how close the gunman was to you and the accuracy of the shot. If it grazes your head you probably will survive but if you are shot from close range you are probably dead instantly.

Tbh St Marys needs to be leveled and re built, it is such a dodgy area and looks like crap.

Depends what part of the brain gets damaged as well. Most parts of the brain can take a bullet without dying, at least not instantly.

    Possibly for the best .

I can't think of anything worse than to survive in a vegetative state for the Victim and his / hers loved ones .

I remember one time walking back from a Saints game, me and my Dad were walking through St Mary's. He used to be a copper with the Hampshire Police and he just kept pointing out houses where he'd done drug raids or sex traficking raids or whatever during his time with the police. Basically said it's a hole.
