Is there some amount of money we can pay you to take Piers Morgan back?

The fertilizer explosion is in this very small Texas town. Everyone knows everyone else. And just about everyone is a volunteer fire fighter. So Piers keeps asking people "Is your husband fighting the fire?" "Do you know someone there?" Yes Piers, of course they do. "How do you feel right now, it must be dreadful." Well their house just blew up, their pets are dead, and they probably know a bunch of people who are missing/injured/possibly dead I'd say that's a pretty good guess.

News outlets were doing the same in Boston..."how are you, were you scared?" Get back to inaccurately reporting details and stop bothering the traumatized, for ****'s sake.

Agreed. That's what tragic events news stories appear to be these days. It isn't at all in the public interest, but if one news reporter doesn't do it, another will. It feeds the ghoulish mentality in everyone, though the older I get the more I want to look away, or not even become curious.

They're feeding our rubberneck curiosity to witness injury and despair. It's not news.

The FA have told Spennymoor who are in the Northern League, that they must complete their matches by May 6th to be able to get promoted. So in 19 days they will have 11 games. <laugh>

That fertiliser plant explosion reminds me of Buncefield. Except this time it's not luckily on a Sunday morning.

Spennymoor have asked the FA if they can have 10 extra days, so far the FA have said no.

Watched Where Eagles Dare last night , cracking film .

I love that film. Totally preposterous plot but fabulous locations, and Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood are brilliant.

It's funny how old films suddenly catch you in the right mood. I had a hankering to watch Horatio Hornblower RN with Gregory Peck from the 1950's and [OK, I'm reading the books] so I searched ebay for the DVD. It arrived the other week and I couldn't stop myself from watching it pronto.

And it was great, I bloody loved it. Reasonably faithful to the books covered too.

Yes, I like Where Eagles Dare too. :)
