Blooming 2nd again, never going to win a race now once the handicapper rises him again after today's 1/2 a length defeat

Lads, tonights 3rd round leader market on the US Masters looks a potentially appealing market.

There are a clutch of players on -3 who are all very, very dangerous, especially as I would have doubts about Day, Leishman, and especially Couples holding solid up at the top of the leaderboard.

Adam Scott is 14/1 to lead at the end of the round. He has been steady so far and I have a feeling there is some better golf in his locker here at Augusta. Down at -2, Rory Mcilroy is worth a punt at 20/1, especially given the number of under par players out on course already. It seems like today might lend itself to attacking golfers and therefore Mcilroy and Scott are two very nice priced golfers if you are looking for a punt.

At bigger odds, I would recommend a cover bet on Charles Schwartzel (33/1) as he will start from -2 and he looked to be getting his game together yesterday after two good steady rounds.

They are very good prices for golfers who are very much in touch here.

Nice one I've backed Choi and Dufner today to win at 33s and 25s. I wasn't going to bet on the Masters but I gave those two to some work colleagues at 80s and 66s at the start and I'll be ****ed if they actually do win and I don't have a penny on. Choi always plays Augusta well and Dufner is a very underrated player. Worried about Cabrera though, another who plays the course well.

Agreed, Cabrera is a very good player when he gets it together and so far he has.

A potentially very exciting day tomorrow.

Can I suggest Nico Rosberg as Formula 1s value bet tomorrow? He starts in 4th place behind Alonso and Raikonnen with Lewis on pole. Alonso will almost certainly jump Raikkonen at the start and I can see the Fin heading backwards in the race purely because the straight line speed lends itself to Merceded and Ferrari in China. If Rosberg can keep Massa behind, he has a very good chance- he has been mighty (as Brundle would say) on the hard compound tyre throughout this week, he goes very well at this track, and I think he will have Hamilton under all sorts of pressure in the middle part of the race (when they have stopped to put on the hard compound).

The Ferraris have not been so strong on the hard compound and I would seriously consider looking outside of them for the 3rd place- Jenson Button can approach the race on his own terms having chosen to start on the harder tyre and perhaps he can manage his way into what would be a massive bonus for the struggling McClaren. It has shown glimpses of very good speed on the medium compound and much will depend on how Jenson can manage the stint on the soft tyre and whether he can go long on the first stint to maximise his chances.

Cabrera has only ever won 2 tournaments, and both were majors. So he'll do for me at 28/1 in the outright market:biggrin:
