Didn't see enough on Football First to come to an opinion but I thought it was an interesting experiment. No doubt he would have a lot to learn about the role and I was wondering if other people thought he just might be an answer to the left back problem.
He probably would make a decent left back judging from his performance on Sunday but I think it would be better for the team to keep him in midfield where his calm assured approach is invaluable.
Scholes must have had a lovechild and a super injunction, how can there be two really good pale ginger midfielders in English football? Makes no sense!
Why would you want to turn Colback into a defender. He's the brightest midfield prospect that we've had in years (much better than the hugely overated Henderson IMHO) and you want to turn him into a left back. Why would you suggest something as ridiculous as this?
Scholes must have been very busy, as thier were two carrot tops in our West Ham game. forgot the younguns name who came on.
Cooke, I remember a lot of rumours a few years ago about Scholes seen at the AoL, maybe he was bringing his child support.
Hit the nail on the head oh hairless one. I'd rather we bought an out and out LB and not convert a very good CM prospect and, there's always the chance he gets nicked off and decides we are not for him and it's back to square one and no LB.
Colback has all the potential the national pree would have you believe Jordan has. His passing and ball retention mean playing him at left back would be like asking Angelina Jolie to get her tits out, but wear a balaclava. Daft.
Do you know a site that specialises in this combination? Not for me, you understand - it's for a friend.
