I actually like the Scots, most Irish people like the Scots. A lot of them don't seem to like us back for some mad reason?

Oh so you like the Scots, all of them I take it?

I don't like the Irish per se, I like individual people, how you can like 5 million people when you've probably met less than 1% of the population is beyond me.

I've met Irish people who were brand new, and Irish people who were ****s.

Same with most people I'd imagine.

You agree Scottish people don't have what it takes to look after themselves?

Why would I agree with that statement? Because a friend of yours says so? Who is this friend? Is he an expert on Scottish finances? An expert on the economies of small countries who seek independence?

Most reports, including one commissioned by the EU, suggest that Scotland would be better off financially as an independent country than we are as part of the Union. The same reports also show that the rest of Britain would be worse off without Scotland.

Where are these reports?

Ireland had the boom and bust. Scotland had the bust and bust.

I asked a Celtic supporting, Royal hating Glaswegian pal the other day would he support Scottish Independence. He said no because he didn't think the Scots were capable of running their own affairs <doh>

If Blair and Brown are anything to go by.

Blacks are a more diverse group than the Scots.

Of course I can only judge a nation on the people I've met and seen. A rough guess would be that I've met about 200 Swedish women in my time, yet I can safely say that Sweden has better quality women than Scotland.

Likewise on my travels around expat communities I've been to Irish centers to watch GAA or watch the dancing, and I've been to Celtic supporting clubs and watched games with mixed Old Firm crowds etc. I'd choose the Scottish clubs over the Irish society every time.

But we're all anti-Irish bigoted racists?

I never knew Obama was left handed.

That is a grand looking caman they gave to Obama. I hope they gave him a black marker to write B.O on it.

There is a little bit hurling can learn from shinty with regards to striking from the ground. that element of the game has largely been neglected over the last few years. I know the shinty caman is more suited to it but I think teams are foolish not to have a caman for sideline cuts until someone tells them they can't do it.
