Also, did anyone see Doctor Who today? 'Twas a rather random episode and the intro thing is weird, it's like being on hallucinogenic drugs or something. I hope this companion doesn't fall in love with him though, I find the dynamic more interesting when there's no romance between them, e.g. Amy Pond or Donna.

Wasn't a good episode tonight, but I didn't think it would be in the first place :( But have high hopes for next week with the Ice Warriors returning!

Haven't watched Doctor Who since Tennant left, although I do plan a massive marathon of watching the older ones. Once I catch up to Game of Thrones of course.

Can't believe anyone with relationship problems is fielding it on here. Maybe a sign of the times and me getting old but rule no1 in my day was:

If you want advice on relationships talk to a female because the lads will either take the piss, some baloney about there being fish in the sea or just downright give bad advice :) Female friends will listen to anything you say and normally give you a bit better advice on how to talk to another woman

And if Pulis doesn't step down he is gone soon OR Britannia will have a Lowe'esque revolt leaving gates at Middlesboro levels.

p.s. when I say 'my day' I mean pre internet social networking. I'm only 38. Oh and don't tell the girl you have relationship problems with that you have female friends. lol

I think that men are much better at talking about their relationships troubles with their male mates nowadays, in my generation anyway. I always talk to my best mates about my problems and they always listen and give advice. They would only take the piss if it was just me being a frube and knew it was not a serious problem or one that I was emotionally connected with.

My female friends would be useless at it to be honest. That last sentence you wrote, now that is bad advice! Always best to be honest from the beginning.

Depends how pretty you're female friends are :emoticon-0110-tongu

And I guess my comment goes some way to prove what I said earlier r.e. fielding it on here :) My female friends were pretty (maybe I shouldn't thought that) but they always gave me sound advice. My male friends were well educated but old fashioned like most of us 'nineties men' and the first thing you would hear is 'you'll get over it' or 'fish in the sea'. Then I'd go see my pretty female friends for a comforting bit of being listened to :)

I suppose it could also be construed as me not being that bothered about the said problem if I though my female friends were pretty :)

If I was to be having relationship troubles I would not go to my female friends expecting some reasonable advice, they tend to take the piss more I find, although male friends do have a bit of banter about it generally do get good advice. Maybe its just 'our generation'.
