Aberdeen v Hearts

Craig Brown seems to think that Aberdeen still might finish in the top six. He could be right, who knows? We need to win our next two games (against Hearts and away to Dundee Utd) as a bare minimum. After that, we’ll be left hoping that Inverness CT beat or draw with Hibs and that Ross County beat Kilmarnock. Celtic will then need to beat or draw with Hibs the following week and Kilmarnock will need to draw or fail to win either of their remaining home games against St Mirren and Dundee. In the meantime, it would be helpful, although not strictly necessary, if St Johnstone took some points off Dundee Utd in midweek, paving the way for Aberdeen’s expected victory at Tannadice next Saturday. If St Johnstone fail to take any points from Dundee Utd, then it would be for the best if they also lost their game against Inverness CT, which would place another top six spot within our grasp.

Once this has come to pass, McInnes takes over and will then lead the charge for 2nd place, at which point the glory days will be well and truly back. What a season this promises to be.

(I know absolutely nothing about McInnes, so must assume my default position of imagining him to be a decent man with good intentions until he shows me otherwise. I feel the same about the new Pope, incidentally, about whom I also know absolutely nothing, and wouldn’t like to place a bet as to which man – McInnes or the Pope – will eventually show an interest in what I may or may not be doing with my penis.)

And not before time, Stereo. Your recent absence from this competition has been shameful, to be frank, honest and fair.

Not being one of the hard crowd, I was too spooked to ignore the warning (and will continue to be too spooked in the event that it reappears). It's been a rough couple of days. I've rarely felt so frightened and alone. It's amazing how quickly my social life can be so comprehensively annihilated.

SQL injection attacks......? Technical talk, I must assume. Anyway, I hope you find the culprit(s) and kill them very roughly.

Am taking my sister (who longs to meet Pud) along with me so there should be quite a BIG crowd tomorrow, she wanted to come along a couple of weeks ago but because of the meat fiasco there was no pies on the menu so she gave it a miss.

PS only telling you this because i've not much to say about AFC at the moment.
