A friend of mine trains a horse by the name of Sway Away, who is entered in The Preakness tomorrow.

He's convinced he's got a good shot to win. Listed at 15-1.

Might be worth a pound or two.

The trainer is Jeff Bonde, lives down the street from me. The horse is stabled here in town as well. Saw his maiden voyage at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, walking distance from home, and he won in hand by double digit lengths. The owners are mostly local as well and this horse is a beauty. We'll see tomorrow, but like his chances. Also, he's doing quite well in the mornings.

If he tanks, I'll go on hiatus around here for a while!

Ha, you're probably right. I've been a broken down horse player forever.

Who knows, maybe a change of fortune. Lord knows I need it!

Be nice to change that. Honestly, these are very nice people, the kind you want to win. Everyone very excited here, it's a big deal.

    Fingers crossed.

No need to go that far! It's not like you are pretending to be an expert ITK. Fingers crossed. Where do we send the commission on the winnings? :emoticon-0105-wink:

BTW I often wondered about your user name. Care to elaborate?

I will elaborate. Tomorrow. Late at night, folks just left the house. Tired and had a few too many.

Just looked it up - jockey is Garrett Gomez. GG on a geegee. Is that an omen? <whistle>

Having £2 on it on Betfair, 13/1 atm, might see if it will drift a bit

BTW for those wondering, the race is the 23:16 (GMT) at Pimlico, USA <ok>

Well, seeing as how i'll lierally bet on anything, i've spunked £30 on it at 14's on bet365.

Took a bit of finding the race mind, the international stuff is buried under about 4 screens!

    2:40 Curragh - Power
    3:45 Curragh - Zabarajad (Irish 2000 guineas)
    5:20 Curragh - Giving Orders

Also doing this treble with betfair, reckon it has a great chance, pays 135/1 with Paddy Power, betfair prices are usually better but they havn't got them up yet for the 3:45 and 5:20....

Giving Orders looks a great bet at 9/1 if you don't fancy a treble, JP Mcmanus' only horse at Curragh today, from a good yard, good jockey. If you're watching the coverage it would be interesting to see if McManus is at the Curragh himself because he won't be going there with only 1 horse when he has over 400 in training, just to watch it get beat!

    Deportivo (17th) v Valencia (3rd) - VALENCIA
    Osasuna (15th) v Villarreal (4th) - VILLARREAL

    39/1

Has to be worth a quid or two!

I've backed this mate, the odds are enourmous, but i've baacked it as a treble with Barca, making it 82/1.

    Outrageous.

The Valencia/Villareal/Barca bet looks a great bet.

The bookies seem to think that because Viallareal and Valencia have qualified for the Champions League that they won't turn up.

These are 2 teams rammed with quality, and quality footballers are winners.

Sevilla are overpriced as well, but i'm not pushing it to 4.

Phase one of my treble has weighed in!

Now for either Zabarajad or Dunboyne Express (I done two £5 trebles with just this horse swapped around) in the 3:45
