Boa, I get the sense that you'd be in favour of medieval style punishments whereby we would:

> Chop off Figueroa's hand
> Chop off McManaman's leg
> Gouge out all of the match officials' eyes
> Cut out Martinez's tongue

Would that be OK for you?

If someone had done that to one of my freinds I would have at least punched him in the face. The little bastard was smiling about it. I think he'll get away with it and will 100% do this again in the future.

I knew the moment he got away with it the game was a fix so we shouldd have just walked off or kicked the living **** out of him.

I'm all for collecting £1 from each fan at the next home game and hiring a hitman to smoke his ass

some Wigan fans on the Radio have admitted that they didn't see it as bad when it happened
but have changed their minds once they had seen it again <ok>

Was pretty obvious to all of us behind the goal how bad and how intentional it was. Should be banned for the rest of the season! The game doesn't need or want thugs like that.

I'm gobsmacked.

Surely the FA should step in and investigate this game fully?

.... It's the FA so probably not....

Gutted... Completely gutted.

I would argue that Newcastle are very much indebted to referees, not just this season, but for many years now..There has been so many decisions given in your favour, that I have often thought there is more to it than pure chance..Yes, I would agree that the Wigan player deserved a red card, but that decision alone goes nowhere near in addressing the balance of decisions given in Newcastle's favour..

Haven't you got a civil war to fix on your own board right now? ;).

it's the only thing amusing me after a shocking game. <cheers><ok>

Can't believe Martinez spouting his rubbish, didn't see it??? Get yourself (and the refs) down specsavers Roberto! McFuckface needs to be hauled infront of a disciplinary panel and banned.

Lost all respect for Wigan and Martinez. Hope they end up in the bottom 3!

Useless bastards. Can't even do us a favour and stop Wigan winning.

We're doomed, I tell ye, DOOMED..!

Then again, perhaps Wigan have give us a blueprint for the derby? Get Catts to terminate one of your defenders, bribe the ref not to send him off and give us loads of decisions instead. Hmmmm. Might be onto something here....

Hey, Whitey... thanks for giving me a giggle. You really have cheered me up fella.

there's one inherent flaw in the plan though Sid..... you'll still have MON as manager... (I've bought my streamers for the party :))

Why would we do you a favour Sid? ;) <ok>

Maybe we can invoke the spirit of 1908 and whup you 9-1?

Mind you, both clubs were powerhouses back then. Now it's more a case of which of us is less crap. Probably you, sadly...:(

Dave Whelan is clearly a nutbar:

"The ball was there. Young McManaman went in for the ball and got the ball as clean as a whistle, but in the follow through they collided. The referee saw it all, he had clear view on that."

Senile old bastard

Hes still passed because our boss bankrupted his empire. Unlucky you old twat. They'll come A time Wigan will find there level they are not a premiership club and never will be

Didn't do yourselves much of a favour yesterday Sid, watched your game in 'Sharpies' at the Wigan Stadium and you didn't do yourselves any favours. Then again, we didn't either.

Bad ref decisions in both games by the way.

We got a bit of shocker yesterday. It happens and its down to the assessor to mark the officials down. That is the system and it is one I think is a good one. It usually results in them being demoted.

Of course if he is not marked down then that system has failed on this occasion. A blind man can see he has had an absolute mare. I don't he's a particularly bad ref and although I was livid yesterday, in the cold light of day we've just got a raw deal and should get on with it. **** happens. Undoubtedly costly for us though as we'd likely have went on to win.

The tackle was a shocker. For none of the three to call it for what it was is quite unbelievable. The lad in question will hopefully get one in the future.

The hand ball was a joke but was a melee so I can understand it. But then they did miss that the ball should never have up there also as it was a corner from Cisse's shot.

Also in the same passage of play as the Haidara tackle, did the player not deliberately stop the ball going down the line with his hand? Is that not a yellow?
