Hypothetically speaking, if you were to sell Modric to Manchester United for say...£20-25m that would give you adequete funds to buy some solid players for Spurs to push on in the Europa Cup. Players like Adam, Parker and Denilson would be strong additions and in my opinion, players who are more than capable of helping Spurs win the Europa Cup.

Spurf, the pyramid structure of the game will never change. And with Spurs near the top of that pyramid, I don't imagine you would want it too.

United have had a far more productive youth policy than Spurs. Spurs are a prime example of a club who have used their financial clout in the transfer market to prise players away from their clubs.

So your sentiments seem hollow to me.

They would be hollow Luke if I was in a position to change things and didn't. I am not!

I refered to that when I mentioned Giggs & Scholes AND I included Spurs in the guilty. If you are going to take me to task, do it on something we disagree on.

I think it would be bad news for Spurs if they sold Modric. Especially as it looks like City will come in with an astronomical bid for Bale too. Along with VDV these three are the creative engine at Spurs and they need to hold on to them if they want to try and push for a top 4 spot next season.

That said, if a bit from Utd does come in for Modric, you couldn't really blame him for wanting to go there.

I can't believe Fergie wants Moderate in his team, even as a rotation spare for the carling cup etc... Moderate is at more of a Villa or Newcastle skill level tbh. Way over-hyped along with donkey Dawson and the one trick pony that trots up and down the left wing with less crossing ability than Lennon.

Do yourselves a favour this Summer and get rid of 75% of the squad, then merge with the Orient - that way you at least get a half decent ground at last!!!

How many Utd.'s will be going for title #20 next season you ****ing moron? read the entire thread and it is pretty ****ing obvious!

Someone shouldn't have to read an entire thread to understand its basic message.

I mean, if I started a thead entitled "Player does something at football club", I'd be rightly slated for not being specific enough. Same principle applies here.

Hope Modric doesn't leave, i love him as a player and would hate it if he went to united and made them stronger. He is pretty much irreplaceable for you too unless you can find some unknown guy again.

Sadly for you United means Manchester United ask a 1000 fans of random clubs and that would be your answer, apart from fans of other Uniteds.

Hypothetically i would say spurs got ripped off if thats all we got. We bought berba for £10m, he had 2 good seasons and left for £35m (including the Campbell loan). And that was with him refusing to play and acting like an arsehole.

We bought Luka for £16.5m and he's had 2 good seasons. He's not throwing his toys out the pram and he's on a LONG contract.
I would not be surprised if it took £40m.

Levy, Modric and VdV have all publicly assured the fans that they will not be going anywhere and that we are not looking to sell any of our key players for any price, not so sure about Bale but if we were offered £40m, I would mind letting him go tbh if we can replace him with Hazard, A. Young or even N'Zogbia plus a class striker.

No matter what the clubs and players say, the media will always make this sheet up to sell their papers. Never any truth in these rumours, hence why they are rumours.
