I seem to remember this lads name bieng mentioned a while back, must admit i know nowt off him, as i don't see any championship footy.

Watford have rejected a bid of around £2.5m for striker Danny Graham from QPR, BBC Three Counties Radio reports.

It is also believed the Hornets have dismissed more than one offer from Brighton for winger Will Buckley.

Graham, 25, is the Championship's top scorer with 24 goals, and has found the net 41 times in 98 games since arriving from Carlisle in 2009.

Buckley, 22, a signing from Rochdale 16 months ago, has gone on to make 43 Watford appearances.

Last week Graham signalled his intention to make the step up to the Premier League, telling BBC Three Counties Radio: "There's going to be speculation, I'd be devastated if there wasn't.

"I'm contracted to Watford, I love it here, but I'm not going to lie or kid anyone, I want to play at the top level.

"If that happens, it happens. If not, and another Championship club comes in, I'm not interested.

"I want to be a Premiership player, I'm not going to hide the fact, but we'll see what happens

He looks a real natural finisher, scores all kind of goals.

I reckon he'd cost £4million, and we'd get that back off a decent Championship if he didn't work out.

I can remember when Graham was at Boro, they had high hope's for him there & he looks a decent player but he hasn't got pace, he look's a strong lad & good finisher. If we did have to go into the Championship to get a striker i would be having a look at Shane Long.

Aye, kept an eye on Long last few weeks of season and play offs, he looks like he could step up for sure.

He was expected to do it a while ago, looks like his times coming, worth a look (although i fancy Reading to win at Wembley)

I've been banging on about this lad for months (more so back in January when we sold Bent).

He's from Gateshead and I know his mother through work related contact.

He is a Mag through and through but for the last 3 seasons he's done it consistantly at a good level in a poor side. Like SKP, he is a late developer and at 3m/3.5m I reckon he would be a steal. He would be a good signing to bolster the squad and is 5 times better thsn Boothroyd (who I am not impressed with at all).

Good finisher, strong (6ft 1") and ready for the next move in his career. He'd be hungry and ambitious to prove himself too.

Well, awful to get to at least, i think it's ok once you get there, as it goes.

    Yep.

Think it may well have been me and you discussing the lad in January.

I know he's from Gateshead, do you know which side of the divide he comes down on? Is his family 'us' or 'them'?.

You and I were indeed saying he was worth a shout mate.

He's a Mag Diver but that wouldnt deter me. Whether it would him I couldnt say but Lee Clark (up until he got pissed on day) always gave 100% and he was even more of a Mag.

Clark was outstanding for us, i was more thinking along the lines of they are supposedly interested in him, who would he choose.

He'd choose them mate. No doubts at all.

However, we should be active and recruit him now. Chris Waddle played for the Mags but would have chosen us if we had gone for him at the time and he is a hero to most Mags still.

He'd be a solid signing for us, and a very, very good one for them.

I think he'll end up down the road in all honesty.
