OH dear Chris I understand it very well. I guess you dont get the humour side of it but there you go.
can just picture it, Bruce down in the corner of the training ground, on his mobile, behind a tree, talking to Durham City Coaches,"Thats right pet a 40 seater to Germany and back in the summer, divnt say owt to Niall mind"
Friendlies are arranged in exactly the same manner as any other match. They take months of planning, starting with invitations and acceptances by the interested parties. Then dates and times have to be agreed between both clubs, local authorities and police/medical services have to be notified in advance for crowd control measures to be implemented. Officials have to be appointed and accommodation booked, as well as travel arrangements made for the team and support staff. Of course, all of this has to be paid for as well..... .....and Niall Quinn knew absolutely nothing about it?
We play in Europe every ****ing year, England's in Europe! I'm sticking with this line for the foreseeable future (maybe 30 years or so.....)
