Such terrible news! Hope the jack bastard pulls through! I lost a mate in similar circumstances not long ago, and it was all very well documented in the papers (local and national), just shows that no matter how people appear on the outside you can never tell what's going on under the surface. Hope you recover from this and come back stronger than ever buddy!
My thoughts go to Ashley and his family at this difficult time for them. I hope Ashley makes a full recovery.
Bad news indeed, hope he comes through and hope he got to see you lift that cup and tour round Swansea.
Here's hoping he pulls through and gets the support he needs. Thoughts and prayers with him and his family.
If this is something that's really happened then my thoughts are with his family and I really hope he pulls through. The fact he has 7 pages filled just with people who are genuinely concerned about him says a lot about him as a person. BUT, and you can delete this post if you find it too offensive, just as a word of caution there was a poster on the Stoke board (Pottermouth) who's account was hacked and they pretended to be his friend posting and they claimed that he had died.
The response to this thread says it all. Over 120 comments of genuine support in just a few hours - from fans representing clubs from all across the nation. It's one thing being liked among your own, but when everyone has only good things to say it is a powerful message. If he can just see the overwhelming response to this sad news, then hopefully, hopefully, it might just make him think there is something to cling on to.
Thanks, but we (regular Swansea posters) knew Ash was having a tough time of it, but none of us realized it was to this extent. He has been missing from the board for a few days, and as a mod, he would always pop in. Your condolences will be required and appreciated in this case, and not wasted.
I'm newish to the 606 forums and a bit unknown to everyone and don't know Ashley, but I'd just like to wish Ashley and his family all the best. Hope he recovers and gets the help he needs.
Please let Ash know Thai Canary (Norwich City) is thinking of him and wishes to see him back here soon. For now I have a tear in my eye and really feel for him
Just seen this, shocked and very sad to hear this news. I'm sure that many people, like me, appreciated the work you have done as a mod on this forum, Chico, and the endless patience and goodwill you have shown. Thinking of you and hoping you pull through.
gutted to hear this news, my thoughts and prayers are with Ash and his family and friends, and as we all do, hope for a speedy recovery
News like this always puts football in focus. I have never been much of a commenter, but I want to send my best best wishes. Ashley will be in my prayers tonight, I'm not even religious. I hope you can come through it mate. Think of all the good teams Swansea can beat next season! My best wishes and love to all the family, friends and affected; Rich-Cardiff
Terrible news. All the best for a full recovery Chico. I sincerely hope your health issues mend and you can learn to enjoy life again.
i'm shocked by this, Ashley revealed more about his real self than most posters on here so we all knew he had had some ups but perhaps more downs over the past few years, but most wouldn't have seen this coming. despite his difficulties he's always put a huge amount of time into this board, selflessly dealing with the schoolyard shenanigans which our board can descend to, in a fair and even-handed way. even taking unwarranted abuse himself when mediating. i guess the fact that so many have come on here to wish him well means we all know this. Anyway be strong Ash your family, friends and forum all need you
