TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V INTER MILAN - March 7th k.o. 20.05

Referee : Referee...Antonio Mateu Lahoz (ESP)

TV :- ITV1 and ITV1 HD 7.45pm

2nd leg March 14th k.o. 1800

TV :- ITV4/HD 5.30pm

Buon giorno!...its Deja vous and another joust with Inter Milan, the previous 2 CL Gareth Bale Show's should still be fresh in all our minds, culminating in us topping our group, so not much need to write all that out. Fortunes haven't gone that well since for either team, so we meet this time in the Uefa Cup, but could still end up as Gareth Bale Shows again!

Oddly their manager then is now trying to ruin another team in blue!

They 'Played for Both' list is a quiz now!

Robbie Keane, thanks to Spurm. (there's something inherently wrong with that sentence!)
Jurgen Klinnsmann
Dion Dublin look-a-like Stephane Dalmat
Paolo Tremezzani trying to look like Robbie Savage
Edgar Davids (predator)
Nicola Berti
Gilberto (I refuse to show him in a Spurs shirt!)

An important (they're all important!) game v Liverpool at the weekend following this, so lots to discuss. COYS!

As much as the focus is on the football, I can only hope the game passes without other incident.

and Stephane Dalmat! <laugh>

Good work Notso. I see that THFC6061 bloke has been slacking ;)

Klinsmann too, I think.

As I said on the Liverpool thread, I'd play: Lloris; Naughton, Gallas, Caulker, Benny; Parker, Carroll; Lennon, Holtby, Sigurdsson; Ade. Can't see it happening though.

That fat guy sure could play. He had Berbatov-esque skills but no one else was on his wavelength. Ever.

he was awesome. i remember thinking the same thing at the time.

I can't believe i thought of him. Pretty impressed with that shout :)

Well anyway the last meetings between us will be firmly lodged in the minds of Inter. 4-0 and they thought that they were coasting until Great Bale showed up. Then they lost the replay 3-1............brilliant stuff. We can do this.

I saw some of their recent game before the derby and they struggled, they have lost some key players this season either through injury (milito) or being sold (Sneijder), this is a game we have a real chance in, although the worry is when playing an Italian team, is that if they get the lead they will shut up shop and we know how hard we struggle to break teams down.

i grabbed this from an inter milan forum

No Rocchi, no Stankovic, No Chivu on the pitch - we win. Trust me!!!

Bale is playing free man in entire front side of Tot. So putting Gargano on him would be efficient. I just hope Strama would know that apart from football there are other things like pinching, elbowing, verbally provoking a player that leads to "Zidane header" etc....Gargano should employ those on Bale.

Knowing Strama would probably sit Kovacic and start with Guarin on AM, i have to see this line -up would suit....

---------------------------Handa-------------------------
Zanetti----------Juan---------------Ranocchia------Perreira
----------------Cambiasso-----Gargano-------------------
---------------------------Guarin-------------------------
ALvarez------------------------------------------Cassano
-----------------------Palacio-----------------------------

In this line-up our weakest point would be certainly the left flank. Both Perreira, Cassano can't defend for ****. So just hope there won't be any bombarding relentless attack from Tot's right flank

Their central midfield looks fairly strong.

Should be a great game!

"So just hope there won't be any bombarding relentless attack from Tot's right flank "

Inter Milan, please may i introduce you to Kyle walker and Aaron Lennon. - Don't worry, they're pretty slow out of the blocks and won't give you any problems on that side. <laugh>

Can't see Lennon or Walker crossing the halfway line, myself... <whistle>

Tactical genius. They are going to pinch and poke Bale into a fury.
Sorry pal, that just won't work.
