But the key is the guys in the stores don't know. Don't get greedy and go for the 100, they'll definitely ring up for approval, go for 70 or 80 and you might/should get away with it. 4 or 5 stores and you've got something to play with.
So Hills are going 3/1 and Paddy Power are refunding all losers on the race if Hurricane Fly wins eh? I dont know what I fancy in that race yet, I do know I wont be setting any alarms for tomorrow because hell be around 9/4 5/2 on the day anyway and if I fancy him ill back him, if I dont I wont. I was on large at 11/2 when he won his Champion, but he has a bit to prove now after last year.
You realise we're a week away don't you? Will Hill go 3/1 for a tiny stake. Paddy limit to a small stake. What's your point?
Cheers Boris. I backed it at 11/2 so I'll lay off my stake when the price contracts. Thanks. Thought for a while you weren't going to come up with the goods for me. And I'll take that to the bank.
Great shout yesterday Stick!! Not so good for me lol!! Fancy myself a Yankee today so have gone with... Wilton Milan 5/6 Di Kaprio 10/3 Overdante 4/1 Billybo 7/1 Good luck all!!
BTW Stick, what do you think to Henderson's comments regarding Chatterbox? Apparently impressed with his work and is likely to go to the Festival for the Neptune. Would love to see him in the Supreme myself.
Sounds like he has put us all away again Drever. Will be avoiding MTOY though. He wouldn't be without a chance but the Neptune is a quality race this season.
Yeah I figured Nicky 'The Needle' was having us on (probably been on snake venom for the past couple of weeks) and I will be having a punt on Chatterbox when plans are concrete.
With NRNB if you fancy him you can do everything he's entered in and guarantee a run for your money to take advantage of the larger prices.
Ladbrokes are shortest price everything, they have the biggest brass neck of all bookies, everone knows the horse is going off at least 2/1, Ladbrokes will go 9/4 or 5/2 the night before, it happens every year without fail, the bookies take each other on the day before. The closer we get to the race, the more people are going to pick holes in Hurricane Flys season and look at his defeat last year, he deserves to be favourite, but im not convinced he is quite the machine of a few years ago when I thought he was invincible.
Enough of all this bickering about Hurricane Fly... After a few sparse days on the investments front today i will nominate a good thing in the 3.50 at Kempton...TEDS BROTHER not to be missed.
